This was the second time I had been to this Meetup and I found it to be somewhat offensive. The woman that was speaking made a lot of disparaging statements towards Latinos, Africans, men, and women. She had a lot of stereotypes that were not positive. She assumed all men loved fancy cars and all women loved dresses. I’m a lesbian that dresses masculine so I didn’t appreciate that statement. She talked about Latin women having bad tempers and Africans starving so why should someone be buying a dress. I haven’t heard these stereotypes since I was a kid. She kept saying not to put people in boxes when that is what she did continuously. I’m not sure she realizes that a lot of people in Denver are evolved. She meant well but her message was dated...

I felt welcome the very first time I went and every time after as well. There is very much a sense of spirituality and peace during the guided meditations that I found very helpful during troubling times in my life. This is a small but very active center with lots of events going especially at their retreat that is about 3 hours away from Denver. They have meditations on W, TH, FRI at 7:30 and they are always open to everyone so...
