My first experience at El Nopalito was great! The staff was extremely helpful and patient with me while I asked a million questions. At no point did I feel like I was wasting their time. In fact, we had such a great conversation about different styles of tacos in Mexico and the family traditions associated with El Nopalito. I ordered the lunch burrito al pastor and it was a real flavor explosion. I'll be back for that again! Because I couldn't help myself, I also ordered a hard shell barbacoa taco. The taco shell was on point. Just perfectly done. The reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because the barbacoa lacked a bit in flavor based on experiences at other taquerias in Denver. The meat was very lean, which I like, but I think there could have been more seasoning to make up for the lost flavor from a fattier cut of meat. All around, I would recommend this spot. Read moreExcellent! I was craving huevos rancheros around lunchtime so the "Breakfast Served All Day" sign was just what I needed! The meal was nearly perfect. Simple and good huevos rancheros. The beans, rice, eggs, and green chili were all excellent. This really hit the spot. For what I was craving, I don't think I could have asked for a better meal!
There was one staff member working the register and dining room which was plenty given that the dining room is very small. She as very polite and the food came out quickly.
The only potential negative is that parking could be a bit rough. This restaurant is located in a small and busy strip mall. I had to wait for one car to pull out so I could park. Even if I had to walk a block or two, it would be worth it...

You order at the counter and then your order is delivered to your table. The gal who took our orders was friendly and helpful, and the spicy green chile is vegetarian - yay! We had breakfast burritos (egg, beans, cheese, potatoes, and green chile) and churros. The burritos were a good size considering the very low price, and wonderfully moist and delicious. The tortilla wrappers were hot and the teeniest bit crisp too - nice touch. The churros were freshly fried with a generous topping of cinnamon sugar, and the creamy filling was just right. Highly...
