Off Broadway B & B — Hotel in Denver

have never been in this situation to get into a house and feel unsecured and not been able to breathe because of fag/ old smoke.||As I have mentioned in my urgent message on booking this place does not belong to a website like Booking.com. Please you should be more careful when you choose your costumers.||Myself and my friend got there and we freaked out when we saw the dogs at the entrace and a man picking up his clothes while they were trying to be sober and walk to the door and open us the main door. ||Already I said to myself that this is not a good sign. He was drunk and most likely smoked/high. It was a decent hour when we got there (9pm).||They were stairs and I barely brought my luggage up and my friend too. The owner was not keeping the dogs away from us that we can make our way... terrible fright.||We got up first floor and we got into the room which was dark dirty and with no possibility to open the window. || The air was so heavy that I was not able to breathe either my friend. I did not mind it was old but it was dirty and not being able to breathe was the worst experience. ||The sheets were dirty filthy with hair. A few pillows were ripped. ||I will attach some photos made within the property but unfortunately they were having so poor light and maybe this is intentionally.||Another thing was that the bathroom was not in the suite and it had an opening window in the door with no privacy as you ll see in the pics.. dirty on the floor, dirty towels like in the pics and i could not even look in the shower.||When we took our stuff to leave, the owner was on the sofa sleeping and we had to shout for minutes to open us the door.||He was not able to wake up and his wife drunken and high woke up and she was very angry that she had to wake up , just a few minutes after we got there. We said before before we go she should try to solve our problem because we have considered it s polite to mention that things are not right and if there is any way that they can fix this. Unfortunately she opened widely the door and kicked us out saying out! I was afraid she will hurt us honestly and said thanks God we were out of there safe and in one piece.||In the street we had to call a taxi to get to a hotel which was willing to take us. ||Radisson was the only hotel with an available room at that time in pm and I ll enclose the expenses for this if it helps to document.||We were very disappointed and furious that something like this can happen through yourself. If we got killed or raped or harmed what would that happen? Are you not checking your clients/ partners who you work with? It s a failure and i ll reconsider if I choose Booking again. ||As you see in my history it s not my first time coming with Booking.com and I have another Booking in2/52 time what will I do? This made me think twice and i could cope with the stress of a place to be dirty and all other things but being unsecured nobody should feel this.||I am not even touching the subject with the stress of having to move and to cope with the angoas/pannic atack of my friend who panicked completely in finding a hotel somewhere in the middle of the night.||||I would kindly ask for full refund as this is not a regular situation it s not a preference or something subjective. It s very serious and I ll take it serious. ||||Beware and stay away of this place! For your own good!||||Bottom line no refund and terrible experience with the place and also...

I booked my trip probably 3 months in advance. When it got closer to the date I attempted to contact the business several times, via text (through booking app) and phone. The only response I ever got was “thanks for the information”... which didn’t help me at all because I was informing them I would need to check out a day-2 days earlier than originally planned. Their policy didn’t state anything about early check-outs. When I arrived that night I told the male business owner that I couldn’t afford to stay more than 2 nights, really only one. I’d had a death in the family and could not afford the full stay at this point but I was there for a work convention, as I work for the federal government. He immediately became upset and got short with me. I apologized, attempted to explain and told him I would’ve had to book somewhere else if they couldn’t accommodate this. He agreed to two nights and told me my new total was $282. I handed him $300 and he stated he didn’t have change right then. I apologized and said I knew it was late and he could give it to me in the morning.|||| When I awoke the next day I heard yelling and looked out my window to see a woman angrily storming out... that probably should have told me what I was in store for I guess. I had a notification on my phone that all my credit card funds had been withdrawn by this b&b. I was confused. I said something to the owner and he laughed and said his wife ran it last night and now I only owed them another 100 dollars. I was perplexed because he had just agreed the night before to two nights and now was taking all my money. I left to go to the convention and honestly wasn’t feeling comfortable because I was pretty sure I had found a camera in the bedroom there. I stayed with a coworker at the Hyatt downtown and went back the next day to check out. ||||When I returned I was immediately confronted by the business owner who demanded to know if I was checking out or staying. I told him checking out, as that was what we had agreed upon. He became irritate and said I “stabbed them in the heart”. I cost them all this money (the place was empty). I apologized and again told him I had tried to contact them numerous times, he cut me off and said “if that makes you feel better then fine! I need you to get out NOW!” I was shocked. I grabbed my things and as I was leaving he ran back over and said, “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have snapped.” I asked him if he was going to give me my change back and he said “NO! You owe us money!!” I told him I felt that he needed to update his policy online and he was furious and said, “my policy is fine!” I said, “well, I just feel this behavior is very unprofessional.” ||Wait for it... he says, “well I think you’re a SL#T!” 🤣 wow... never ever have I been so mistreated by a “business” or disgusted. The audacity of this “business”. He apparently used to practice law but now I see why he was disbarred. I’ve reported it to booking.com and waiting on my refund now. I’ve reported them to the better business bureau and am pursuing a small claims case. Do NOT waste your money. Chances are you will get kicked out first by some bitter old sl#t-shaming...
