We came mid-November to enjoy our "VIP" (Groupon) passes and see the monster truck rally. We have been to the complex before for other shows and events as it has been in business a long time. The show was great and an enjoyable experience! If you have never seen monster trucks in real life, in my opinion, it's something you at least have to see once ! Though primarily attended by males, I had lots of fun and thought it was very neat. (Not my first time either :) ) I rated four instead of five stars for two reasons. The first is because the building itself could use a little refreshing and updating for its many customers and events. The second is because our VIP tickets had us sitting in what seemed like regular seats, we got no extra perks or anything special (beware I felt the same experience would've been had for the lesser priced regular ticket- I myself like to have the "Go Big" option- yet there wasn't one), and to top it off the lower deck/section where you can stand and walk around closest to the trucks was closed. Big bummer there. 😕 Otherwise, our...
Read moreI was recently an exhibitor at a coin show held in this facility. The staff here are exceptionally helpful. I do about 30 coin shows a year and rest booths at many different convention centers and I have never encountered a staff that is more helpful or friendly. Most convention centers are generally looking for any reason for an upcharge and even the smallest requests cost big money. Not here. The are accommodating, helpful, hell they come around with a cart full of snacks twice a day (no charge)--when you've been stuck at your booth all day and are starving, you can't imagine how appreciated this is. One of the staffers was even sharing homemade cookies that his wife had made and they were unbelievably good (and what motivated me to write this review). In an industry dominated by large faceless corporations, the staff here makes it feel like a small town family business. Just nice people. Exhibitor fees are reasonable and the booths are generously sized compared to other shows. Top scores...
Read moreI went to the KICKER monster truck show at this event center, and would go again. Before the show, I rode IN A MONSTER TRUCK for only $10!
All the seats are GREAT! I bought a general admission ticket and was able to sit so close to the action that I was sprayed with dirt multiple times by vehicles racing by.
The lemon aide is terrible and overpriced, corn dogs are good but oily. Bring ear protection and your own food! I definitely recommend this place for an event like monster trucks smashing cars.
Also, I went to a Monster JAM show at the Pepsi center in Denver (not related to KICKER events). That was disappointing. The Pepsi arena was just too small. The National Western Events Center has the space you need to put on a much more...
