Short review: I'm a customer for life because of how well John took care of me and the quality of work he did.
Long review: When I began shopping for an engagement ring, I decided early on to buy the diamond separate and get it mounted to an off-the-shelf setting, which (in theory) should be very straightforward. I quickly learned that most jewelers didn't want to do that kind of work without charging a hefty price, so I came to CC expecting a similar price range.
The first thing that told me John was a bit different than other jewelers was that I felt welcomed into the store from the moment I came in, with his wife greeting me and being excited that I was looking for an engagement ring, instead of feeling out of place like every other store. John came out of the back, teased me about spending too much on my diamond (green flag), and then took notes as I showed him what I wanted. John told me that we'd likely have to do a custom setting to get it made right and, even though I was likely going to pay it no matter what, I was expecting to hear something on par with what other jewelers said (remember, they quoted me for an off-the-shelf setting).
He quoted me a price that was HALF of what everyone else had told me! I was astonished; surely there must be some kind of catch, right? Knowing that I had limited time to stay on schedule, I decided to trust that John would take care of me and agreed to the offer.
Over the next few weeks, John texted me renderings of the design as it came out and even gave some feedback on the ring design that showed he really knew what he was talking about. Everything looked good, but I was still expecting something to go wrong at the end (because it really did seem too good to be true), so when the day finally came, I was nervous to see the final product.
Spoiler alert: it was perfect. The ring was stunning, she said yes, and everyone has given her a ton of compliments on it. John was accurate with his quote, did amazing work, and took care of me the entire way. I can't say enough good things about the work he did, making a one-of-a-kind ring for a one-of-a-kind woman, and I will always go to him if I need custom jewelry...
Read moreI recently bought a silver Roman coin and wanted to turn it into a necklace. After confirming the coin's authenticity at a nearby shop, I stumbled into CC Jewelry to see if they could help. The owners were really kind and worked with me to design a pendant that didn't cost a fortune but still lived up to my vision. Instead of creating the setting from scratch they ended up modifying an existing pendant that they had, a really creative approach that kept the cost down while looking fantastic.
The end result was speaks for itself—greatly exceeding my expectations and what I should have gotten for the price. They even made the back side of the pendant look great which I didn't ask for. They also threw in a small but thoughtful touch by adding a larger loop to the chain, making it much easier to put on, and they did this for free and without me requesting it.
Even though the job wasn't a big moneymaker for them, they provided exceptional customer service. It's clear they care about their customers, no matter how small the job. Would definitely...
Read moreIt was such a wonderful experience!!!! John and Hannah were amazing and very honest!!! I had taken my wedding ring back to Helzberg yrs. ago to have it inspected. I was told that every prong needed replaced + it was going to be between $3,000.00 + $5,000.00. I didn't get it done, too expensive!!! Also, I was told not to wear it or clean it because the diamonds would fall out. So, I haven't worn my wedding ring for many of years!!! I recently took it to CC Jewelers and was told the prongs were fine! John re-sized it, cleaned and polished it. My wedding ring looks as beautiful as it did when my husband gave it to me!!!!! John also re-created another ring I had, that my husband got me from Egypt years ago. John's idea was perfect!!!! The band was damaged badly. The stone was an opal, so John had to take the ring completely apart because the opal is a soft stone. John put it on a wider band and now it is a Beautiful and unique design!!!!! The prices were Very modest!!!! Thank You, John and Hannah Shim at CC Jewelers!!!! I will be back!!!!...
