After taking hot yoga and Pilates classes for almost 20 years, I was so excited to go to an infrared Pilates class and enjoy bone broth afterwards. Guess what? No bone broth. It, literally, states on the door that it’s a yoga and Pilates studio with a bone broth bar hybrid concept. That’s like advertising chicken and waffles and running out of chicken šŸ” I was told that the restaurant that supplied the bone broth went out of business and they were also trying a new formulary. If it were my business, I would find a temporary solution even if it were packaged bone broth (from a reputable vendor). But…the staff were excellent. Andre gave me a nice tour and offered me an extra towel because I was just in town for the day. And DiDi’s class was amazing. We worked our entire body and it was challenging without being ridiculous. She is so personable and I felt very welcomed by both. Two things to note: the temp of the studio was 95 when we started, then 94, and 93 when we finished despite all the bodies packed in and working hard emitting a lot of heat. So I’m not sure if the heaters were on. For me, the hotter the better. Also, I took a Pilates class with weights, bands and a ball. The ball was significantly deflated and harder to use. The balls should be assessed more often for firmness. Overall, Andre and DiDi made my experience worth the visit. Great workout.

**Update LOVE the Power Restore class here! The perfect blend of heated flow and restorative stretching. LOVE THIS STUDIO! Every class so far has been a delightful challenge. Hot Bones saw a community need and DELIVERED on everything the Detroit yoga community has been missing. Some highlights: -Space is gorgeous -Infrared heat feels amazing - like a warm hug -Appreciate how fully-guided every class is -Teachers start/stop exactly on-time which is so appreciated as someone who has to get to/from meetings -Everyone I've sat next to in class has been so friendly -Momence app is so easy to use to book A perfect addition to Detroit's yoga and pilates community - I'm so thankful to belong here <3 <3 <3

HOT BONES is a true gem in Detroit! From the welcoming staff to the top-notch instructors, everything about this community-focused hot yoga studio is exceptional. The classes cater to all levels and the studio itself is absolutely gorgeous. In addition to the high quality practice offerings, what sets HOT BONES apart is its dedication to fostering community - the studio regularly hosts events and charity initiatives. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned yogi, this is the place to deepen your practice and connect with amazing people. Highly recommend!

I have been attending classes at Hot Bones for a few weeks now and, for the most part, have had an amazing experience. Every instructor I’ve worked with—except Demi Adamczyk has been supportive, encouraging, and professional. Unfortunately, my experiences in Demi’s classes have been the complete opposite.

To put it bluntly, Demi is rude, dismissive, and downright condescending. She repeatedly referred to me as ā€œback girl,ā€ making me feel singled out and humiliated in front of the entire class. When I struggled with my form, instead of offering guidance like every other instructor I’ve had, she grew visibly impatient and refused to help. Unlike others who take the time to step away from the mic to correct and encourage students individually, Demi seems to thrive on publicly embarrassing people.

Her behavior feels targeted, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because I don’t fit her narrow view of what a Pilates client should look like. Her ā€œmean girlā€ attitude is not only unprofessional but also deeply discouraging.

I initially planned to continue attending Hot Bones while avoiding Demi’s classes, but to my frustration, I walked into what was supposed to be Stephanie’s class (who, by the way, is incredible) only to find Demi was covering. There was no notice, no email—nothing. If I’d been informed, even on the morning of, I would have skipped the class altogether.

This experience has completely turned me off from Hot Bones. I will be sharing my honest review on all platforms—Yelp, Google, social media, you name it—because people deserve to know what they’re walking into.

I hope you seriously reconsider who you allow to represent your studio. Instructors like Demi undermine the supportive and empowering environment Pilates is...

I had never taken a group Pilates class before, but after my first session at Hot Bones, I was completely hooked! The studio itself is calming, clean, and chic. Navigating the space is a breeze, the building feels secure, and the staff is welcoming.

The real star of the show, though, is Demi. She’s an absolutely phenomenal instructor—knowledgeable, encouraging, and really knows her stuff. Demi is always cheerful and her positivity is infectious! She quickly learned my name after just a few classes and greeted me with a smile every morning there after. One of my favorite parts about working out with Demi is that each of her classes is unique. You never get the same experience twice.

Demi has a knack for making everyone feel comfortable, whether you’re a seasoned Pilates pro or a complete beginner. Her cues are crystal clear, and she’s always quick to offer modifications or extra challenges depending on your needs. You can tell she puts a lot of thought into crafting well-balanced, creative routines (with a great taste in music to match) that leave you feeling both accomplished and rejuvenated. I always leave Demi’s class feeling stronger and more flexible. Since relocating out of Detroit, I’ve wished she had a YouTube channel or a subscription service so I could continue working out with her virtually—she’s that good!

The only downside to Hot Bones is how quickly the classes fill up. If you’re on the waitlist, there’s a good chance you’ll get in, but you might get notified late at night. Be sure to check your texts! Missing the notification could result in a $15 no-show fee, so always assume you’ll make it off the waitlist.

Hot Bones and Demi have set the bar incredibly high for any future Pilates experience....
