Where to even begin. I’d like to first off start by saying that it was just another usual day between my girlfriend and I as we walked into Neckers Jewelers in Dewitt, IA. Just being up there for the whole day with softball and family things going on, so we decided to take a stop in and check out some rings. As we approached the store, I started to get that sweaty palm feeling that I always get when it comes to stopping in to look at rings. As soon as we walked through the door, that’s the moment everything changed for me, as well as for my girlfriend. The employees offered us a drink, alcoholic or non alcoholic and we looked at each other thinking to one another are they joking with us?! A minute goes by and they ask us if we are sure we don’t want anything. So I said well yeah I’ll take a drink as my girlfriend passed on this one. Then we were getting into deep conversations, talking about what we wanted exactly and how our days were going. These employees were by far the most outgoing and such good people to enjoy the company. That’s when that moment hit me that the timing was right. Needless to say, we both found the rings that we loved and decided to make the move and make our big purchases. I have had an amazing experience with Necker’s. The DeWitt location has such a relaxed atmosphere and you’re treated like family from the minute you walk in. The Davenport location is closer to home for me and I choose to drive up to DeWitt. They remember your name when you come in and no project is too big or too small. They truly are there to make sure you’re happy and taken care of. My fiancé has bought me a few necklaces as gifts and then my engagement ring and wedding bands. I have also purchased various other pieces I will treasure forever. I have never questioned their judgement and all the staff is very knowledgeable and ready to help. Never pushy. Very high quality. I came back to my hometown for another reason, I thought it be nice would stop by Necker's and see if they could size my mom's rings so I could wear them. She had passed not that long ago and she loved Necker's. My mom had made two rings at Necker's around 30 yrs ago and one was her wedding ring. But sadly I will say I'm never going back. The lady who helped me was not friendly. I asked if they could size my mom's rings, she was very short with me, she said we send them out to our jeweler, it be two weeks and $100 for each to sized. I stood there, in shock and was taken back how short she was with me. In my shock I told the lady, I would think about it. She didn't say anything and walked away.
