I'm sorry to leave such a bad rating, however I did not get the quality job I paid for or anticipated.
I brought in my grandfather's gold onyx ring not even a year ago, which is older and needed the stone put back in with a strong adhesive. I emphasized the importance of the ring and the incredible nostalgic and sentimental value it contained since I was very close to my grandfather.
I was assured they would take care of it so the stone would never pop out again and that they'd be using a much stronger modern adhesive. I've worn the ring a handful of times since then and the stone popped back out easily.
I had faith in them based upon their reviews, only for me to experience cognitive dissonance with the work that was actually performed. I can understand fixing rings of this type might be a bit difficult, but they shouldn't give the impression it's somethimg they can handle. Jewelery of high sentimental significance should be handled with more care.
It's for these reasons I will not be going back nor do I recommend anyone else to take their valuables here unless you're willing to risk parting with them.
I will say there were positive things about them that still make this establishment a decent place. They were kind, friendly, easy to make an appointment with, and returned my...
Read moreI'm so excited to finally review this jewelry store! We bought my ring a few months ago, but it took my fiance a little while to actually propose and aside from being excited to get my ring, I was also just really excited to talk about Truver's!
Robert is so amazing to work with. He immediately sat us down and taught us about diamonds-- cuts, color, clarity. Then he showed us dozens of beautiful rings (though of course I fell in love with the very first one), explained how we could customize them, and talked to me about completely designing a one of a kind ring. They also have probably hundreds of designs online. When I chose a ring he'd made but wanted a different stone shape he didn't carry, he ordered three beautiful stones for me to choose from across multiple price points. There was never any pressure to spend more than we could afford, and he even guided us away from the most expensive stone because it wasn't a good fit for the ring. And when we were so excited to pick it up, he even opened up on a day they were closed to give it to us. My ring is absolutely beautiful and perfect-- I couldn't possibly love it more. But I'll also never forget how wonderful the Truver's staff has been. This will always be my favorite jewelry store-- you cannot go wrong...
Read moreRob does exceptional work involving all things jewelry. He can fix anything, appraise anything, has an amazing selection of quality pieces. My family and I will never go anywhere else ! My husband went here 15 years ago to have Rob replace the center stone and basket for his grandmother’s engagement ring from the 50s. Not only is it stunning but it has stood the test of time. Also, I broke a very unique ring my parents gifted me and even though it wasn’t his original design Rob was able to fix it exactly how it was. Additionally, we just celebrated 15 years of marriage and had a convalidation ceremony in the Catholic Church and I wanted another piece to mark the occasions and we knew exactly where to go! We also needed to update insurance appraisals for these pieces and Rob got all of those done for us as well. Barbara who works in the front most days is also very knowledgeable and has such a good eye as to exactly what you need! If you need anything jewelry go nowhere else! Thanks for everything you have done...
