WTVY News 4 — Local services in Dothan

This is one of my favorite channels. All of the channel 4's actually. Lately. Last 3 or 4 months the reception is horrid. Checked digital antenna and that is not the problem. I can be watching a show. Right in the middle screen gets all digital and then gone. No signal. Usually for hours. As I am writing this at 8:53 A.M. I still have no signal since last night. No matter which way I move antenna. I have repeatedly called and they don't know what it is. I could understand if it was windy, stormy then that could be a reason. Mine went out yesterday evening and it still isn't back. Antenna is set in right place. All of a sudden it'll come back and work for a few then gone again. This is my #1 watched channel and you are ruining it for me. At least before it was digital I could move antenna and it would come in again. If I didn't have my cell phone I wouldn't be able to keep up at all with it. Unfortunately some people don't have that answer. Ya'll need to fix what ever needs...

My family has watched WTVY almost exclusively since i was a teenager… over 50 years. I have no words for how disappointed and outraged I am over the decision to move much of the Wiregrass news and weather coverage to Montgomery; a total disregard for the Wiregrass. I am now turning to WDHN, channel 7. I miss the WTVY team. My friends who must leave early for work share my outrage. What happens when we have severe weather such as a major hurricane… etc. I personally care nothing about local Montgomery news and weather. “Shame” on the administrative leader who pulled the plug on...

WTVY news has made some terrible changes lately! Many people do not want the Montgomery news. We don’t get as much local news. Local sports has become a thing of the past. When we do get it there is usually only one or two news stories. Having two anchors at 6:00 is a mistake. Both are good but when they were put together it was a mistake. One talks while the other looks at the speaker nodding continuously. After a lot of years I now watch WDHN. Bad...
