I went to the Boyertown Verizon store today to get help transferring pictures, contacts, and other data to a new iPhone I had from a iPhone that kept shutting off. Courtnee was the only salesperson there. She welcomed me but it went downhill from there. She told me I needed a gmail account password to get into phone, which I was having trouble remembering. She noticed that the new phone was not charged. She unplugged the old phone which I told her will probably go out if unplugged and she plugged the new phone in. At that point I asked if there was another cord, she responded," No, I only have this one". What! I'm in a Verizon store and there is not more than one cord? We continued to try to get into gmail account using security questions and gave up. She said that was the only way, she didn't suggest anything else, kind of demeaning in a way because I didn't know password, and standoffish like she couldn't be bothered. I decided to go home and reset password, which I did. (probably could have done that there) At that point I still didn't understand what I really needed, so I called to ask and Eric Geiger answered. He was very upbeat, told me to come back in with both phones. When I got there the new phone was 50% charged and he plugged it in. He pulled out a second cord and plugged the old phone in which had turned off in the short walk from car. (wow! two cords) Eric took it from there, created iCloud account with password and new security questions. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and pleasant. He worked with me and got contacts, pictures and videos transferred. Even after returning home and seeing that pictures did not transfer, he walked me through it and it worked. I called back 2 more times and each time he was very helpful. While I was there Courtnee called in, as she was out of the building, to talk to Eric. He told her I had returned and what he had done to transfer my data. She didn't say good or tell her I'm sorry, just went on with her day. I'm not sure what her position is at this store but she needs to be more knowledgeable and courteous. Another couple came in looking for her about an item ordered, and Eric had to tell them she'd be back in 30 min., they left and said they'd be back. Eric went above and beyond helping me, showing me how to transfer items once I returned home. He made me feel comfortable even though my knowledge of the phone is limited. Courtnee made me feel like I should know things, or that it was a bother to figure a way to transfer. There was no real urgency there even though she mentioned that if the phone goes out for good, there would be no way to transfer it, yet the phone remained unplugged. I'm not sure who runs this store, but Courtnee needs to be watched closely when dealing with customers, and then be given tips on how to improve, while getting a lesson in hospitality. In this case, if there would have been another store close buy, I would have left and gone there, because I knew there had to be a way. I was very happy when Eric answered the phone later and had the...
Read moreVery poor service. My iPhone completely died and I needed a new phone ASAP. R wireless was the closest Verizon store at the moment. I explained to the associates that I needed a phone that I could take pictures, email, manage accounts, etc for my business however I didn't need anything extremely fancy. I settled on a Samsung that I was told would fit my needs perfectly and had an attractive price. This particular phone came with a free case, which was out of stock so the sales rep put a similar case on that blocked half of the camera despite me bringing this issue up to her and Courtney, they said I just have to come back tomorrow for the correct one. The whole process took way longer than it should have however I was just happy to have a functioning phone again. Fast forward to the next day, I go to the R Wireless store to exchange cases and the sales rep I dealt with and Courtney who I assume was the manager were not there. The reps that were there called their manager and the only option was to buy the correct case and they can process it as a return the next day to give me my money back since the case was included with the phone. Day 3 of having to visit the store rolls around to hopefully get the case situation settled. The original sales rep I dealt with wasn't there however Courtney was and she attempted to assist me. I brought up the issue that the phone is very slow and not what I expected based on what I originally was told and her response was "you got the cheap phone what do you expect" which I was astonished by since 2 days before she said it was such a great phone. At this point, I brought the case issue up and her response was the case that her and the sales rep gave me for the phone is now a used case and they can't refund the case I had to buy (apparently this changed from the day before) that they were supposed to include for free with the phone according to their ad. Overall I wasted 3 evenings having to return to the store only to get treated like dirt by a company I just spent a decent amount of money with. Once the sale is complete attitudes changed like Jekyll and Hyde which astonished me, the mistakes were their fault and they didn't have the decency to correct them or even treat a customer with respect. The good news is there are plenty of other stores and phone carriers to choose from when it's time for...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. The manager josh is useless. Unless you're buying something hes useless and passes the dime on apple. Terrible customer service. He spoke to my wife and I like we were idiots or toddlers. Also beats around the bush flooding the conversation with irrelevant nonsense. He looked messy and disheveled and had a stain on his shirt from lunch earlier. He told me to get out of "his" store when I finally interrupted his nonsense rambling as he's trying to divert the situation with his runaround. I love it when people have a pathetic false sense of authority. That's who's representing Verizon? I purchased a phone and it was defective within 2 months, in which I was then sent a refurbished phone. I'm not paying for someone's used sloppy seconds phone I'm paying for a new phone...and josh as well as Josh's useless superior told me there's nothing that can be done and to go to apple. So now I have to go to apple for a replacement phone directly from the manufacturer because Verizon treats their customers like trash. Ill never return to this store due to incompetent staff, and Verizon will be losing me as a customer.
Edited because below Verizon claims they'll be reaching out to address any previous issues and of course just as I assumed THEY HAVNT lol this...
