We order from here a lot. It’s always great but tonight after dealing with a nasty male on phone when ordering I’m not sure we’re coming back. We had a friend at our place who never had food from here also she’s a vegetarian. So we ordered her vegetarian lomein which she loved. However when trying to a side of tofu for same person the man starting yelling what kind we said just plain but cooked Part of the problem is the English barrier but have him the benefit of the doubt. When I went to pick food up noticed bill was 10.50 higher then normal which would of been fine However once home “NO TOFU” the only extra thing was a pint of rice and sauce WHICh I NEVErR ORDERED??????? Called them back to say we didn’t get side of Tofu but believe me was charged for it. Got the same man who called me a liar yelling at me. What a huge disappointed maybe you should start treating your customers better. OH no refund was offered or was I told to come back for a new tofu. If you don’t like your job either find another one or sell the business. You really SUCKED...
Read moreSeeing as how this is the only place to get real sushi in this town, I can state with confidence that this is the best sushi in Gilbertsville. I showed up at the end of the night as they were closing for take out, and they were extremely good about accommodating me at the last minute. The sushi and sashimi were very good, and the soup that came with it was delicious. Wasn't thrilled with the salad, which seemed to consist mostly of iceberg lettuce hearts with browned edges, but the dressing was good, and as I said, this was the end of the night, after they'd stopped expecting customers. As a former restaurant professional, I know that the salad is always the first thing to go; cut lettuce only lasts about a day. It usually gets thrown out at the end of the night; you have to make more every day. So really, it was my own fault, and I wasn't really in a salad kind of mood anyway, so it all worked out. Having good sushi close by is a very good thing. It speaks well of our little town that we have it. I'm glad Panda Garden is here, and I'll be patronizing them regularly...
Read moreOrdered the love boat for two, a couple special rolls and edamame. For the price, there wasn't much edamame, however, for four of us, it was enough. The sushi was excellent, fresh, and not too cold or too warm, just right for full flavor. The salad dressing was great as was the miso soup.
Service was good, but missed things like giving us napkins. The decor is okay if a bit dated. Could use some traditional music to liven things up. I brought a bottle of wine.
We haven't been since COVID, but we weren't disappointed. The outside of the restaurant does have a funky smell I think coming from the dumpster but the inside was clean and just fine. Tempura rolls tasted fresh and not greasy. I recommend this place for dine in sushi...
