Today, our family brought back in for repair a frame we just purchased yesterday afternoon. (Normally I would let a defect go because I don’t like confrontation, but having spent a substantial amount on a nice frame, I thought it should be fixed.) I had called the moment I arrived home and discovered the defect. Today, the workers in the store insisted that the edge had a splinter because it was dropped or banged, when nothing had happened to it in the transport to our home. I did not imagine I should run my hands all over the frame to ensure there were no issues with the craftsmanship when purchasing. I had only looked at the framed art and it looked nice. I trusted that if I found any problem upon returning home, I would not be blamed for it. In addition, we had waited from June until September to receive the framed piece of art, with not one phone call made to us about a delay. I called to check in during August, and was still never called back. I finally just showed up on September 8th to ask to take our artwork back home, framed or not. Then it was quickly finished.
