Sprouts Farmers Market — Local services in Downey

[Personal notes at the end] Visit time: Weekend Approx. 10am-12pm

[In-Store Notes - Not Product Reviews] -Accessible Public Restroom [Front], though at this time, the Male restroom does not utilize a urinal. It's no problem, and it's probably cleaner this way. -Clean flooring and organized shelves, as well as very well Lit. The selection of dried goods and other snacks is quite extensive, perhaps a bit more extensive than the one in Norwalk at this time. Very good! -Self-Checkout was available and with more than 4 stations, with at least 2 stations open with actual staff -The Bread/Bakery area was well stocked along with the meat and dairy Several staff members could be seen in the open, wearing store uniforms or aprons. (Great image!) -Staff helped find specific items and answer questions.

-The parking lot was spacious and convenient, as it is within Downey Landing Plaza, which is itself freeway-accessible within 1-2 miles.

No negatives/criticism at this time. No products were tested but vegetables all looked and felt fresh.

I have always appreciated Sprouts Farmer's Market stores, most especially for occasions that call for extra care in regards to ingredient-hunting.

My regular store is the one on Alondra (Norwalk), which is a lovely store indeed. However, since one opened in Downey Landing, it is even closer to me and allows me to have two total stock options now!

I recommend Sprouts in general for holidays needs that call for ingredients that are a bit more niche' such as fresher-ground spices, or candied items. Whenever they have Strawberries in season, they sometimes have delicious Strawberry-White chocolate cookies made with real Strawberry chunks. Hopefully, this store does that, too!

I will be sure to keep my opinion and review on this store updated since it going to be part of my local go-to spots...

A brand new store staffed with attentive, competent and resourceful management and crew. Found exceptionally high quality produce that is not available at comparable venues, such as Bristol Farms or Whole Foods. Happy to be bragging about it to my friends and neighbors. Thank you for bringing new products per customers' requests. Much appreciated.

The only negative is that pricing of healthier or new products has been increasing significantly since March 2025. It looks as if the goal is to find the maximum price the customer is willing to pay for a given product. I am not so sure it is a good business strategy, after all. People will easily ditch Sprouts if they find better prices elsewhere. Also, any reasonable discounts are now connected to a "membership" which is basically surrendering your personal data to the AI analytics and generation of yet higher...

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Sprouts! Every time I shop here, I’m greeted with a warm smile and genuine helpfulness. The team is always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile—whether it’s helping me find a specific item, offering great product suggestions, or just creating an overall positive atmosphere. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Shopping at Sprouts is always a pleasant experience thanks to the amazing staff. Keep up...
