Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Downey

This restaurant is near my job I've been here many times to get lunch this particular time the service was Not as good at it as it has been in the past I realized that once I got back to my office to open up my meal that it was incomplete I ordered the pick any 2 I wanted the fire chicken and the Katsu chicken plus a side of pork which was 50 cents more I only got. I Only received the pork and the Katsu chicken so when I called back spoke to a manager she asked the young lady what happened she said that she told me it would take 10 or 15 minutes for the fire chicken I said OK Because that was the 1st thing that I asked for was the fire chicken so if I asked for that 1st why would I say no or I shook my head yes but she told the manager I said no. So I just hung up so needless to say it will be a little bit before I go Back. My coworker enjoyed it I did not that salad look like a hot mess that goes with it I wish I would have really read better because I probably would have just asked for double macaroni my Katsu chicken was fine but I probably will not order the...

Nice and clean restaurant. The staff always goes out to the tables to wipe down their tables. We ordered the chicken bbq and the beef bbq. I was amazed that they have their own logo on the table napkins, these napkins are not the regular small ones but a real sized table napkin! The Food had good portions enough to feed two people per order depending on how hungry you are. We are happy to have discovered this place. We wonder if other branches do the same? I will send an update soon as we get into one!

This branch is still one of the best branches of Ono Hawaiian BBQ. Kudos to the cooks they actually follow the requested orders with special instructions. Food here isn't too bad although I'd personally think the L&L Hawaiian bqq is a bit better because their rice are the best. I did sort of liked the food here expect their white rice it tasted as if they were a bit dried when I'd ordered that "Hawaiian Bqq mix" I had noticed the size of the box they served is way smaller compared the L&L from there they serve an good amount of food but anyway, reasoning why I had to put only 2 stars for this review because while I was waiting for my order to be called out, I overheard an employee which was an girl the one who took my order gossiping with the other female employee saying "That customer she was weird" I'd thought to myself it made her sounded unprofessional while working around with the public you shouldn't be talking bad about...
