Taqueria Zavala 2 — Restaurant in Downey

This is an edit from my first review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, RIP OFFS ARE WAITING FOR YOU AT THE REGISTER. Sadly, this place has been taking a turn for the worst. Waiting time is ridiculously long even if there is not clientele ahead of you. They have no al a carte items. You may get just the entree if you like but you still have to pay for the full combination plate, THIS IS A RIP OFF. I talked to the actual owner about this, he was there having breakfast with his family. He kept down his foot , well, good luck trying to get rich by overcharging people. They keep changing cooks. Something or someone must be making them quit. I used to come to this place at least 3 times a month, arter talking to the owner I decided he won't get any of my business anymore. Finally, Mr Zavala, you're not the only mex restaurant in LA offering freshly made corn tortillas, stop acting like your 3 places are...

I love the food and always come here but when your ordering food if you look up you can see a nasty vent full of dust and where you pick up your food there is a layer of dust its nasty. I ordered horchata and the lady got it from the fridge behind her with a styrofoam cup she kept dunking it and filling my cup after she got my money with no gloves on that’s nasty as well. Also the cooks were wiping there sweat away and after they did that they grabbed cheese and put it on top of a burrito I will be calling the health department because that is not right stay away from this place after 3 years of coming here I am done. The booths have holes that were fixed with red duct tape the bathroom does not even have soap it has dawn in a squirt bottle that is watered down no paper towels just a hand dryer that does not even work right. This place is a f** joke. Don’t ever try this place especially on uber eats. I ordered about 40 something dollars worth of food. When I received my order it was 100% completely missing instead, I received a lousy excuse for a burrito. When I called this place to explain what the problem was everyone seemed to answer with a agressively defensive response. Their suggestion was for me to drive to their location to pick up the missing food which defys using “Uber eats” a food delivery service. When asking for a refund, their response from the so called owner was, “I’m sorry I cannot give you money because we don’t have your money here. It’s not my prerogative that you didn’t receive your order”
