Don't buy the e-gift card.
I've been trying to purchase an e-gift card for my boss since Thursday and it's been a terrible transaction experience.
I called Thursday morning to order an e-gift card. The charge hit my account instantly, so I assumed everything was smooth. A few days went by and I never saw a confirmation email. (Yes, I checked my spam folder.) I started to worry. I called this morning (Sunday) to learn that they had botched my email address and never entered in any of my recipient's information. I carefully spelled both emails multiple times, and confirmed they were correct. How did the information magically get changed/deleted? I was charged for services I couldn't receive and I'm kind of worried somebody who works here tried to scam me.
I spent all morning trying to get to the bottom of this with an employee who admitted to knowing very little about the process. I asked to speak with a manager and was told I would have to wait until Tuesday. That's terrible customer service. The employee I spoke with was able to cancel the transaction and replace the order, but I have little confidence in my recipient receiving the gift card at this point.
There is something fairly wrong with your system if you're able to charge people without a correct email address. If any managers would like to call and discuss how a mistake like this happens, you have my...
Read moreI’m from Portland, OR, and it’s hard to find a halfway decent cup of coffee in Utah. The vibe seemed okay at this place so I decided to give it a try because I wanted to treat myself to a nice coffee shop experience for my birthday (really missing Portland). First of all, the place has almost no GF pastry options. Just ONE. I give my order, and I ask for a large latte for here. What I get is a cup of coffee and whole milk in a paper cup. No latte art, ratio of milk to coffee totally off (it was like drinking warm milk). Or it’s possible the shots were pulled poorly too, I don’t know. Staff didn’t even offer to redo it, just said that they don’t have large cups so all large drinks go into a paper cup (is this shop owner insane???). If you’re wanting a quality, Portland-level experience, do not come here. Additionally, I asked for a hard boiled egg with my avocado toast, and I got soft boiled. I top of that, my toast wasn’t even toasted. Just a raw piece of sourdough with toppings. The customer service is awful here, and I’m so disappointed.
If you want quality coffee, go to 3 Cups near Cottonwood Heights. That’s the only place I have found so far that is even remotely some level of quality for what you pay for, with good customer service.
La Barba has horrible quality and is not worth the price. Very sad and disappointed...
Read moreSuper sad that I’m writing this post because I like supporting small businesses. However, the last few times we’ve come have simply gone downhill. The first time I came I was super impressed, the second time we came, both our coffees tasted nothing like what we ordered, and today when we came, we waited 45 minutes before we said something about our coffees and food. After seeing about ten people who ordered after us get their coffee and food, we asked where our order was. They said the food was ready but had never called out our name (we were sitting at the first table right where they call out orders so we would’ve heard it) the food was cold and then they asked if we got our drinks. We said no and they said they were making our coffees now. About five more orderes were called before we got our coffee (so they definitely forgot about us and they weren’t “making them right now”) and they weren’t good either. Coffees are very small (only one size) and prices are comparable to NYC and I feel like that’s saying something…expensive. We drive 20 minutes to come here and after our experience today, Sadly we won’t be...
