My family of 5 arrived on Christmas Day for what was supposed to be a 4 nights stay. This stay was hands down the worst hotel stay we have ever had. The hotel has a policy with signs posted for quiet time starting at 10 pm. Every night we could hear the neighbors talking and music. The first 2 nights we overlooked it and played ocean wave sounds to drown out the notice. The 3rd and 4th nights were nothing short of psychological warfare, torture, and sleep deprivation! The room above us was a large family with a ton of kids. They were constantly jumping off the beds and running. They were so disturbing they shook our walls and beds! The disturbance when well past 3 am. We called the front desk and they said they would call them. We never heard the phone ring or a knock on their door. The torture continued. We were all sleep deprived and at each others throats the next day. 😔 What was supposed to be our last night before the 13 hour drive home, the same torture continued well past the hotel's "quite time". I went down to talk to the man at the front desk. He said there was nothing he could do but call them. I explained we tried that last night and it didn't work. Our family COULD NOT endure another night of this. We checked out left and the hotel in a thunderstorm it was so bad. The clerk said the manager would see his note about the incident in the morning. We NEVER received a call from the management. We were never offered to change rooms, for them to be moved, or a refund. This hotel is seriously lacking insulation between the rooms and floors. We chose this hotel in part of the "heated" indoor pool. The pool was out of order for half our stay and when the kids did get to use it, the water was very cold. There are several other minus but the psychological warfare left me in tears as I spoke to the clerk and he did nothing to help. Avoid this place!
1/9/25- Received a reply from Robert Jones on this Google review. No contact number was given. Called the toll free number, it was for reservations. They wondered why he didn't give me his direct line, they gave me the front desk number to try and reach him. I called and he "already left for the day". I left my name and phone number and asked that they have...
Read moreUpon entering the hotel, the lobby is nice, clean and friendly. Unfortunately, it kind of stops there. We stayed with my parents and mom had requested “adjoining rooms”. The front desk clerk told her they didn't have any adjoining rooms, but our rooms were close to each other. We made it to our room and what do you know...it's an adjoining room. I think the clerk either was new or didn't know what she was talking about. Fine, that was a plus. We turn on the TV...but the remote didn't work. Since I don't generally travel with AA batteries in my luggage, I called down to the front desk to tell her the remote batteries weren't working. The response was: “Sorry, I don't have any batteries and I just gave away my spare remote.” Fantastic. The manager should keep that kind of stuff stocked for after-hours issues. We shared one remote between 2 rooms because the TV only had an On/Off switch on it, and there were no options to change the channel or volume from the TV directly. We decided to go to the pool next day. The pool water was chilly. With this being an indoor pool, it should be heated, instead of letting the water stagnate at 72F, which is what the room temperature seemed to be. Plus, there was no way for the sun to hit through the windows to warm anything up. The air in the pool room was so thick with chlorine, that my eyes burned within 10 minutes of being there. Additionally, the pool water was murky and there was lots and lots of floating hair, catching on my hands, legs and feet as I walked through the water. It was disgustingly gross, to say the least. I didn't stay in there long and sat outside to supervise my kids instead. My mom's room didn't even have toilet paper in the bathroom! They had to go ask for some at the front desk. The next morning at breakfast, the hotel ran out of eggs. That's like a total breakfast staple! How do you run out of eggs? We had to settle for biscuits and gravy. The morning after there was no more orange juice! We just couldn't win. We never got batteries for the remote and hopefully the next person that stayed there was a little more lucky. Whoever manages this property should do a bit of research on supply chain management...keep the hotel stocked with stuff that...
Read moreMy husband and I travel fairly often and have stayed at most of the major chains, but this was the nicest property we have ever been to. It is less than 2 years old and has all the modern conveniences. Every light receptacle has plugs for charging electronics, and the night stand has an alarm clock/radio/bluetooth speaker combo with 4 chargng outlets. (See pic). You can connect your phone to the unit via Bluetooth and listen to your own playlist. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable with high ceilings (see pix), and the property is pet friendly if you want to bring the fur babies.
Everything is well lit and bright and cheery. The lobby is welcoming and inviting, with comfortable furniture and a gas fireplace (see pic). Also available is a very large open area for socializing, where we played games with friends and family that night. There is always complimentary coffee and juices in the lobby, and fresh popcorn available. The staff was friendly and very helpful, with the manager, Sharon, walking around talking to guests at breakfast to make sure their stay was enjoyable. Susan was in the breakfast area providing a full breakfast to guests as well (see pic).
The property is located within sight of I-75 and within a mile of several restaurants and walking distance of a Walmart, but with no traffic noise. In fact, we did not notice any noise at all at night, even in the halls. I'm guessing there may be soundproofing because we did not hear other's doors slamming at night or the next morning. Parking is easy to access and there is an EV charging station located in the front of the building (see pic).
We would definitely recommend this place and, should we find ourselves in the area again, will...
