A nail tech should NEVER get in their feelings about a customer wanting their service a certain way.
I was going to Kay for a couple months. I came once on a whim and continued to come back because I liked how she did my foundation, my cuticles looked good and also the nail polish quality was really good. She would joke “you my boss” because I would let her know if I wanted my nails shorter or anything.
At my last refill visit, I asked for a thinner french than I normally get. She wasn’t doing it right so I showed her with the brush myself. She kept sayin “I’m not makin you happy I can’t do it”. She finally got it right. I explained to her I’m payin for this service it’s not free, she proceeded to have an attitude.
Fast forward to today, I called to make an appointment. I showed up at my appointment time and she was starting someone else’s nails. She instructed me to have a seat at a different table. Then she told me “you make appointment with me but anyone can do your nails” which made me irate. 1. I wasted my time driving there when you could’ve called me and told me you are choosing not to service me. 2. You’re mad because I explained to you how I want my nails done that I am paying for.
I calmy got up and left because although her work is good, there are MANY other nail shops around here with other good nail techs. Customer service is ALWAYS number one for me wherever I spend my money and it won’t be here any longer. If I’m spending my money and I want my nail design a certain way I don’t...

I've been debating on whether or not to write a review but this place is just OK. I went on an emergency basis as s walk in because it was convenient and I couldn't get to my regular place. I've had a fill in on two separate occasions, both times I've left disappointed. I really think it depends on who you go to, there's probably someone there who's top tier, but I didn't get them on either visit.
The last visit left me severely disappointed: the nail tech changed the shape of some of my nails, she did a sloppy polish with a color that didn't look like the sample. I left and came right back to have to pay extra for a polish change. She told me afterwards that the sample color looked different because so many people had touched the sample, but to her credit, she asked me a few times if I was sure I liked the color. I just didn't figure out what was wrong with it until i saw it outside but was poorly polished.
This place is clear and very nice esthetically. The staff is friendly, but the only service I've ever been completely happy with was the pedicure...and even then, it depends on who you get. For the price, I'd expect a...
Read moreI came as a walk in and requested the set of the first picture. The tech was not helpful in helping me match the color. The color I chose was wrong and I asked for a white pink color. She then just gave me a bucket of colors and a book. She had another appt that came in and was needing to move through mine to get to them. I ended up picking a color fast. As you can see it was not a match at all. My nails were longer and much wider then my actual nails. I wanted them shorter and she they would shorten by filing but that didn’t happen. The nail was thin and not bulky which I requested. Then another person came to do the design quickly which was not correct. I mentioned that the nails were just ok but I want them shorter, I was told I can come back another day and pay $10 to do that. OR come in 2 weeks and redo them and shorten them for only $40. I won’t be returning and made an appt with another salon to remove them and have a new set put on. The place was clean but as most women are particular about their nails, I don’t get...
