Majestic Dominican Hair Salon — Local services in Duluth

I have came to this salon before and never had a problem with the price, I book accordingly to my hair type, for a silk press. I have thick hair thats a little past shoulder length, just like i did last time i came here almost 8 months ago. AFTER she was done she set the price as $93!! Now be real does $93 sound right for a SLIK PRESS?? I pulled up her website and the different prices are $50-$75. $75 for thick hair, no where in the website it says “&up” for a silk press, meaning the total is final. She then tells me “my hair was too thick and took two hours” which on the website says “ *service can take about 1 1/2 hours depending on length, thickness and amount of hair *”. She was just being lazy about the time she took to do my hair. then says that the other lady that did my hair last time charged me the wrong price which is bullcrap! I even asked for BUMPED ends, she gave me CURLS just overall a horrible experience. I been to many dominicans salons and i pay average $60-75 never $100!! beware she will overcharge you!!

P.S. you will also get bad neck pain the day after bc theres no cushion on the bowl to wash your hair in. And the press wont last a day since she didn’t properly take care of my hair and seal...

I've visited this salon once since it became Majestic Dominican Hair Salon formally Alex Dominican Hair Salon which I've also visited in the past. My initial experience at Majestic was wonderful. Two stylist working (at the time). I loved the way my hair came out. The new manager (owner I assume) was kind. But today 12/31/2020 I rushed straight from work to the salon. Went to the door it was locked. Two stylist both had client's, someone else was working the front desk. I repeatedly asked through the door 'Are you guys open?' no one responded or even came to the door to tell me Yes or No. They looked at one another and continued talking. After several attempts I walked by to my car and left. Going to a Dominican Salon I know and trust, Reyna Dominican Hair Salon. It's a little further down BUT the service is WONDERFUL and so is the quality of work. I may give Majestic another try after speaking with the Manager about this terrible...

Easy to book an appointment. Stylists are very friendly and professional. Sara Fernandez is the best. I will never let anyone else touch my hair. Sara takes her time to analyze my hair type and give me her suggestions. She uses the best products on my hair. My hair has been healthy ever since I started going to Sara. The growth of my hair has been a journey and Sara had made it easy by providing me with patience and love for what she does. I look amazing when I walk out...
