There aren’t a lot of places opened late at night so it was very nice to have an option like Daebal. When we got there we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly. The atmosphere is great here with some throwback Korean songs and the lighting and table set up was just like the pochas you see in Korea. The food was also delicious, we got a spicy pork belly dish and some fries and they were both really good. We all enjoyed the food and with the alcohol it was the perfect combo. However, during my last visit, I ordered my usual favorites—pork back bone stew and clam noodle soup. Everything was good until I bit into a clam that hadn’t been properly purged, which caused a tooth injury.
I mentioned it to the server, who said sorry but took no further action. I didn’t make a big deal at the time since I was with a large group, but the pain persisted, and a dentist later confirmed a cracked molar, which needed treatment.
