ARIANA Kabob House is located on Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Duluth, GA. A relatively newcomer to the restaurant scene in an area that has lots competition when it comes to kabobs already.
However, they do offer something that's unique and you may not find too often here in Georgia and that is that they specialize in Afghan cuisine. According to their owner, what separates Afghan cuisine from similar cuisine found in that region of the world is that Afghan cuisine uses spices that are not too spicy and too pungent.
The interior of the restaurant is spacious. You can be seated at individual tables or at booths. The paint color scheme is kind of interesting overall. I'll let you to be judge of that. Big enough to fit a packed house for sure.
In terms of the menu, you have options for appetizers, soups/salad, desserts, drinks, and of course kabob plates which are the main entrees. The menu isn't big but it will take a few visits to get a bit of everything.
So I ended up ordering the Lamb Shank Kabob and Wazeri Kabob Combination. So let me tell you first off, you get a decent size portion here. Most dishes come with rice and a salad. The rice which is jasmine rice is very fluffy and flavorful. One the best jasmine rice I've had at any restaurant. The meat here is prepared to the highest quality, time and effort is definitely put into the preparation of the meat. The lamb was very tender, had great flavor, you can definitely taste all the spices involved in the cooking. The Wazeri combination has chicken breast and minced beef. Once again very tender and lots of flavors. Basically what I'm trying to say is the food tastes great.
I could comment more on the service, but it wasn't too busy when I went so I had a positive experience in that regard.
For the price you get some great quality in return. Overall great experience. Definitely worth checking if you're interested in trying Afghan cuisine.

Read moreThis is a late review. I do not want to tarnish the reputation of a a small business, but i felt the need to share my experience here.
The food here is pretty decent. I had gotten the chicken tandoori. It's actually good enough for me to crave which is what brought me to leave this review.
I walked in to pickup 3 orders, totaling about $80. I placed the order through yelp. The first issue is that he thought I was some sort of delivery driver, which automatically meant he had to treat me terribly. Then he argued with me for several minutes that i did not place any mobile order which he ended up finding. So then it took another 45 minutes to have the food ready.
The owner was EXTREMELY rude to the point where it made me lose my appetite, I felt like I was on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. I spent $80 on lunch (to take TO GO) on only 3 meals to be disrespected. If you want to charge those sort of prices, be a little nicer.
Then, they didn't include the dessert or the water i paid for, he did give me a free water (after the fact that i had to come back) because of the mistake, which i appreciate.
Side bar: the baklava was really good as far as the texture goes. But they make the simple syrup on top of the dessert with the sink water, it tasted and smelled like it, (you can smell it when you walk in) which was pretty nasty.
I would rather go to any other place to support a business. Despite my cravings, I actually won't ever go back due to the service. Also if you look at his responses here on yelp, it...
