Southbridge Plaza — Local services in Dumfries

Stopped at Walmart for a few things. Checked out near the floral department on the far right side of the building. There was one older gentleman who was working the cash register as fast as he humanly could, with 4 other employees just standing around the entryway. A customer two people ahead of me asked one of the ladies if she could open another register. The employee brushed her off and continued over towards the door to stand and chat with the other 3 people at the door.. I stood in line for 20 minutes to buy 4 items for my daughter. When I left the Walmart the one register was still the only one open. The two male and two female employees were still over near the door talking and the check out line was backed up past the home/garden and toy section.. It will be a long time before I return to this Walmart location and...

This Walmart is very nice. Only problem is they don't have enough working ride-on carts. And the people who are suppose to bring carts in from the parking lot don't think bringing in the ride-on carts are very important. And if they do bring them in, they don't plug them in. To be ready gor the next person who needs them.

One problem may be that the management don't think they are a requirement for people ty o use, but only a convenience. I have bad knees and heart problem, so I depend on these carts. If there are no ride-on carts, I usually turn around and leave. Or if something I really need, I'll take a push cart and only get the 1 or 2 items I absolutely need and not shop around. So only spend $5-10 instead of the $50-75 I may have spent, if a ride-on cart...

Customer service is simply awful except for 2 ladies. One senior cashier who sits down. She is awesome she speaks she smiles she is understanding to the fact I bag my own items in my reusable bags. I look for her only if I have to go through a standard checkout line. Then there's my early morning SCO lady( I apologize for not knowing these two awesome ladies names) She usually works the 6 am shift and wears a scarf. Just the most enjoyable conversations I have with her. She also worked Easter as I did also and I as a retail manager understand the lack of family time working retail really wanted to shine a bright light on these two awesome employees at...
