Murf's Shooting Range — Local services in Duncan

Was looking for something fun to do with the boys while being stationed at Ft. Sill, so we decided to go shooting. This was the only range that popped up from Lawton to Oklahoma City so we made the drive down to Duncan to check it out. I had read the reviews and people seemed to absolutely love this place. Well let me tell ya, they weren’t wrong! We were the first ones there and greeted with a huge smile by the owner. Right off the bat, we felt at home. Extremely welcoming guy who loves the military. Cost us $10 to use the range as Active Duty military and $20 to rent out every single firearm available. We were pretty much the only ones there all day and so we had plenty of time to talk with the owner and become good friends with him. Let me just say, this is the nicest man I’ve ever met in my life. Just a pleasure to work with and be around, not to mention he has some crazy cool stories. We had an absolute blast of a day and he even drove us back to Ft. Sill letting my buddy drive his truck. Yesterday 6/11/25 was my first time at a shooting range and I had only handled a gun one other time in order to get my gun license in another state. I wanted to investigate purchasing a gun, but I decided to try out various guns first. OMG I was soooooo happy that I decided to go to Murf's shooting range. Mr. Smith, the counter person was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all of my questions, then took me into the range and helped me get set up. He guided me while I loaded the gun, talked to me about foot placement and I felt very comfortable by the time I left the range. I seriously can't wait to go back. As a 20yr Army veteran I have had my fair share of places to go shoot. Let me tell you about Murf's Shooting Range in Duncan, OK. First of all, the one and only Mr. Murf was there running the show and greeted us at the front counter. I'm sure his slogan is "Make yourself at home" because he would say it and it made me feel it. Super personable and knowledgeable. He is willing to share his tools if you need any.

I highly recommend anyone looking to shoot at an indoor range in the SW OK area to try out Murf's. The only drawback is that its small with only 7 lanes but we were fortunate to not have to wait.
