Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Duncan

My husband and I ate here when it first opened it had cold food which we microwaved to heat and it upset our stomachs so no telling. The 2nd time my mother wanted to try it, I was hesitant cause of the last experience so many months prior as we walked in a girl was smoking right out side the door didn’t even acknowledge us just turned to her phone. After loading a baby and helping my mother in, we attempted the self serve kiosk my mom had a difficult time with this I was tending to my baby and wasn’t able to help she asked a employee to help they said they aren’t the cashier. Another person walks up from the back looks around stares at us we asked if we could order “I’m not a cashier I’m not trained for that” we waited 5-10min finally the lady outside walks in goes straight to the back again not acknowledging us once she came back to the front we asked if we could be waited on she told us we could order on the kiosk. My moms old school she just told the girl never mind the girl just shrugged we walked out and over to braums didn’t even bother to move our car since nobody was in their parking lot. Then my husband said we haven’t ate Popeyes since they opened maybe they stepped their game up BOY WAS HE WRONG! We ordered the chicken and shrimp and waited 15min asked the lady for honey as she shoved our food at us without even looking she said annoyed and rushed “we’re out” asked for bbq again they were out without even checking we were the only ones in the drive through got the food thinking it’d be fresh cause of the wait NOPE again stale fries barely warm shrimp and chicken we went home shrimps were breading with small slivers of shrimp in them Mac and cheese was a hard ball and cold. Cherry on top we got sick AGAIN look we tried. I give this place a few years and it’ll be shut down never any cars there the entire experience was bad. Franchise needs a new crew to do better and actually worry about the product they serve as it can and did give people food poisoning which be the reasoning for my review at 130am mad I even ate here knowing it wasn’t...

Second time going to this Popeye’s. Last night at 4:30 pm I ordered eight piece thighs and two Mac and cheese. Got up to the window, paid and then the girl said “oh we don’t have any thighs ready.” You can wait 20 minutes if you want. I said “no please cancel my order.” She turned and talked to a few people telling them I wanted to cancel my order. A young man came up to the window, ripping his gloves off and making a fist, as if he was going to hit me. He said “you CAN wait 20 minutes.” I told him no I could NOT wait and wanted to cancel my order! Then the young girl told another lady I wanted to cancel my order. I asked for a reversal of the $24 to my card. After 14 minutes, supposedly it was cancelled. I got a receipt and called my bank. Very unprofessional and rude employees. I get the younger generation doesn’t have the work ethics like we used to have but why can’t you demand excellent customer service when you hire them? Look at all the bad reviews regarding lack of chicken, replacing pieces with something they didn’t order and overall quality. Your replies are all the same over the last year, but no improvement at all. As an “owner” of Popeye’s you’d think you would get the district manager involved and make some changes to implement great customer service and improve the quality of the food. I liked this store when it first opened. They always had food ready for pick-up. I am not sure if it has been under new management. This location has gone downhill. I go there routinely every other week for lunch. Recently I have had to wait 45 minutes for my food. The second time I had to wait 10 minutes for spicy chicken legs. The third time it was 25 minutes because they were out of spicy chicken legs. The fourth time as well as today. I was told they didn't have any ready I would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes. That's half of my lunch hour. Fast food is supposed to be exactly that fast food. When I tried their chicken breast it was always dry. Once they switched a leg for a wing. Which has no meat. I have worked in fast food and you put down food to be cooked when you are running low. Not when a customer comes in to place their order. That is a restaurant like Applebee's, Red Lobster, and Olive Garden. Unfortunately, I have decided to no longer go to this establishment for lunch or dinner. The food is good most of the time.
