Supermercado Monterrey — Local services in Duncanville

When I originally started going to this local Hispanic store, I was impressed by the food and prices. I am now disgusted that the owners of this store are price gouching their customers, and the quality of their products have gone downhill. The customer service at the meat department is awful. They are rude and always overfill your amount of meat to try to sell more product and if you tell to remove the extra they get mad. Also, be aware that when they have some meat or chicken on sale, it's because it's going bad. Please smell it when you get to your vehicle, I recently bought meat there, and when I got home, it had odd odor, like it was turning. Also, their prices are higher than any other grocery store. They are charging for an avocado $3.00 each. You can go get these 4 for $5 at Kroger or to Cox Farmers market $1.99 and better quality. Almost everything in the store is higher. My wife went to go get some meat for dinner and the employees and supervisors on shift Friday October 23 around 6 pm were saying they don’t cut the meat for customers yet every single grocery paper says “ le cortamos la carne al gusto “ something along those lines which translates to “we cut meat to your preference “ then ! Claudia in the meat tried to be slick and charge my wife for a different type of meat because they cut it for her 🙃 which was almost double the price ! So we returned the meat to Claudia and left . I normally frequent here for my tortillas and sauces and the service is pretty decent. However, today I received some of the worst service by Octavia, one of the managers who was working the register today. I was speaking with a customer behind me in line & asked her a question. She wasn't sure herself so politely asked the cashier if he could answer our question. He looked up, put his hand in the air as if to tell her to shut up and turned away.
