I've been back to TechWorx repeatedly over 15+ years. Xavier is straight forward and clear with the process. He's not always chatty because he has a business to run, but he is personable and respectful. I gave him a laundry list of things to do with my truck on my last visit. Which I honestly felt bad doing this to him, but he handled it like a champ! As he dug into each item on the list, he would assess the problem, determine the fix, then call me with the breakdown of the repair process, what parts he'll need and then breakdown the cost. Some of the parts I supplied, some he supplied. He only moved forward after receiving the approval from me. *Note, if you supply your own parts, please go with OEM grade brand name parts. Absolutely no mechanic likes working with bottom rate (cheap) parts because they're low quality and riddled with defects. Your mechanic is not responsible for a failed part if you supply it, which means you pay for their labor to swap out the part if it fails. So go with a decent grade. If you're not familiar with part shopping, just let him handle it for you. He is a professional at what he does and he expects his employees to work with the same high quality. Does he "crack the whip"? Yes. He has a reputation to maintain so he can garner repeat customers like me. And yes, he has performed jobs as low as $200 and exceeding $2000. We've never had to go back to him for a failed repair or part. Bottom line. Be respectful, ask questions if you have any and be confident that he will take care of the problem correctly while keeping you in the loop. Remember, when you own a car you either have car payments or car repairs. Pick a good mechanic, stick with them and they'll take care of you. TechWorx is my long term mechanic and I'm sticking...
Read moreI had my timing chain changed here . I asked how much they told me around 800 with everything. I went in took my own oil ,coolant, timing chain kit ,timing chain covers To lower the cost .then they tell me that it did not matter I still have to pay 800 . Thats with me including all the parts . So I was stuck to pay the 800. Then the next day I turn on my car (cold start ) then I started to hear an awful sound coming from the serpentine belt . Then I found out they had to remove it to change the parts but they never called me if I wanted to replace it while it was of . So I called them and asked hey why dint you call me to see if I wanted to replace it while it was of ? It's only 30 bucks . They stayed quiet . Then I asked him how much to replace it they told me 180 . I was shocked when they are the ones who should have replaced it while it was of. Then they came out with a story that it was not the belt and it was all the pulleys . I knew they wher lying just trying to take my money . This was my first and last time going here . They act real nice but they know what they doing to hustle people . I changed the serpentine belt my self took me 5 minutes . So in 5 minutes I did a 180 dollar job . I hate shops they are rats đ the guy who hustled me is ...
Read moreXavier was very helpful with me. My car wouldnât start,, I called a place I had my battery replaced in March, and they werenât much help. So I did some online checking,, I wanted someone who would have experience and not a backyard mechanic. I saw techworx and read what all they worked on. Also, checked reviews. Since I am a single woman and donât know much about the mechanics of a car,,,, canât even put air in a tire,,, i needed a place I could trust. Xavier and his team treated me and my car like I was the only person in his shop. Which I wasnât. He found the problem and I had him fix it. He asked if I wanted him to check anything else out,, and I asked him to please change transmission fluid. Iâm glad I did,, as he found a leak,,, he took care of it.. Iâm glad I did,, because if it had gone out on me while on the road, I would have been in serious trouble. He did a great job and was very reasonable in charges. I would recommend this place to anyone.. thank...
