Worst service ever...there was none!! There were at least 4 staff talking behind the counter and getting clothes out of boxes. We were looking at waterproof bags right beside them and not a single person could even say hello....let alone make eye contact. The...I assume manager dressed in a white shirt....walked past me at least 4 times to hang clothes but could not be bothered to say anything. Hanging clothes was way more important than paying customers! I told my partner not to spend money where you get ignored by all the staff but he needed a waterproof bag for tomorrow so went to the counter. A lady went on one side and a heavier guy in a blue shirt walked up and started ringing her up...but still couldn’t talk? Another guy in a blue shirt who looked very hungover served my partner. He asked the guy are there no managers on today? The guy said there were a couple. When my partner said nobody could be bothered saying hello etc, the guy said it’s because we are busy....what??? Busy putting clothes out. Busy ignoring paying customers. Busy giving zero service to customers. Busy talking to each other. I’m sorry but Im busy taking my cash elsewhere. Never...

There were a couple of employee saw working, however there were four employees up front hanging out by the cashier just talking the entire time we were in the store. One of the employees helped us with getting a single pair of shoes but we had to grab him, a tall thin young man. He promptly returned to the front to talk about what he wears at home and to work. The saddest part was there was an elderly gentleman in the shoe department with a cane looking for shoes. One pair was dropped off to him but then we saw him still looking and waiting for help. I would think every employee has a department so if you are working shoes, then you should hang out in that area. Restock. Pick up. Offer to help customers who have come in to buy and most times need a little direction or help. Surely Big 5 isn’t paying some employees to work and others to socialize and hang out. There were a lot of customers that could have been helped. We ended up leaving empty handed. The store had a great inventory of clothing, shoes, exercise...

Was looking for winter boots for our son as it's getting that time of season. Came here as our first stop and saw two shoes that we really liked. Ended up looking at other stores (4 stores) to see if we could find other boots/better deals, but no one else had a better selection and prices.

Came here before leaving back home to purchase the boots for our son. Everyone was friendly, asked what we were looking for, and over all helpful.

To his mom's surprise the boots were on sale and ended up being 5 dollars off from the posted price so that was even better for...
