The facility is nice, but it's pretty unusable most of the time. Today was pretty normal. I waited 15 mintutes for a kid sitting on the machine I needed to finish watching his youtube videogame on his phone to get up, and then I tried to rent a basketball but they were all taken, and when I looked at both courts over half of them were just laying against the wall or being sat on by kids.
It's like this most the time, and then they close in typical Durango fashion unusualy early.
If this place is going to be treated like a day care for kids in blue jeans to watch Tik Tok all day, at least stay open till a reasonable hour so people that want to work out can.
Maybe make using phones discouraged so everyone's time isn't wasted?
Edit: if you have that many more people, and are making that much more money, stay open more hours. 8pm is ridiculous. I'd be there at 10pm or later for my workouts so I could actually workout and not...
Read moreMy primary use is the pool area so I can't speak to the rest of the amenities, except for the very tall rock climbing wall with staff and great that my kids love. The locker room is clean and spacious and the staff is friendly. There is a heated lap pool as well as a larger, cooler pool with 8 lanes and lap clocks for doing serious workouts. Adjacent to the competition pool is a diving tank with a low and high spring board.
There's a large hot tub, and a heated "lazy river" next to a spacious indoor water park for kids. The park features slides and numerous water features that are in water with a depth ranging from a quarter-inch to three feet. And, there's also a really fun and fast water slide!
The pool facility is perfect for all levels of kids and swimmers - there's something for everyone! Lifeguards are stationed in every area for safety. I highly recommend...
Read moreDurango has a really cute recreation center. We came here for the pool. I love how they have an indoor swimming pool. It is pretty big and the heated water surprised me. Now I know why people swim here year-round. They have a lazy pool which is nice when you just want to float. And the kids section is so cute. It’s basically a playground in water. There’s also a frog slide for the little one’s. They also have a normal pool where I enjoyed swimming laps. But for a toddler learning how to swim, my son loved it! The warm water made him jump right in without hesitation. It really made the day so much better, relieving stress and adding to a perfect day to relax. Swimming here really was the highlight to our day. Thank...
