This is the first and last time we will eat at this establishment. We went in for breakfast around 10am on a Friday morning. The place was not crowded. Our waitress was an older lady, but WHAT an attitude! My wife asked for her pancakes with a poached egg on top, and the response was, "Well, the chefs only speak Mexican, and I can't, so we can't do something like that". That was only the beginning.. Not only is it a PROBLEM that your chefs don't speak your native language, but this woman didn't even realize that it's not "Mexican", it's SPANISH... If you can't speak the language between ALL of your employees, there's a problem there. Then, we get our food/omelettes, and the food is horrible...!! The "home fries" that came as a side and mixed in with our meals were RAW and could not be eaten, so we had to pick it all out. When we brought this to our server's attention, she did not offer to make it right, so we just ordered some rye toast (hoping they couldn't screw that up). Well, the rye toast arrived long after we'd finished our omelettes. So, our waitress brings us our check and then says, "oh, I'll take off the rye toast off your check", then comes back with a check less $2.00.. what a joke! My daughter's oatmeal was both cold and horrible, and the raisins that were brought with it were full of "grit" and could hardly be eaten, but they were definitely not a quality item. Our table was never cleared of items we didn't use, our drinks (mostly coffee) never refilled, etc, etc. STAY FAR AWAY! We had much better food and service at other establishments while visiting Durango, thank goodness! But I'm so tired of giving my hard earned money to people/places like this, hence the...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE you will be sorry. The service is terrible. Went in this a.m. and tried to get lunch/breakfast. The wait staff isn't even aware of what they have and don't have. I ordered fish and chips. Got overcooked fish with no fries-said they'd be out shortly. WHAT??? Fries are easier then fish. Asked for tarter sauce (which the menu clearly states comes with that order) was told by waitress after having to ask for it, they are out. Asked for lemons. Waitress then found out they were out of that too. Ordered something else, no rush on their part to get to me. I ended up cancelling my order because the person I was w/ had finished her meal. I asked to speak to the manager - Drew - she was rude and not willing to help. After I explained to her what occurred, she didn't apologize. She said they were busy and even though they messed up - they woulnd't do anything to make my order faster. WIll NEVER eat here again and will tell everyone the same. Drew doesn't know how to manage - why she is in this position is beyond me. She seated me in beginning and didn't even welcome me or say hi. I guess I should feel honored they take my money. ...
Read moreThis place probably served the worst breakfast AND donuts we have EVER had (which is extremely harsh, I know). We ordered the carne asada burrito which was supposed to be covered in queso. The queso was completely CURDLED and it was very obvious…but they brought it out and served it anyway! The CURDLED cheese seems to be an ongoing issue if you read prior reviews and the waitress (not her fault) immediately knew what the issue was when we brought it to her attention. It was beyond disgusting. They also brought out cold and old bacon. It looked so gross and crumbly, our waitress (who was awesome) immediately whisked it away to then bring fresh bacon from the kitchen. We got three different donuts to-go, thinking that it must be their specialty since everything was really terrible, but they were also awful. As a local, I am only left to think this place is for tourists. I highly doubt any locals go here. I don’t leave reviews like this often and I always want to support local business, but this restaurant is the worse place I have been to in Durango or...
