After our house was deemed uninhabitable due to our landlord knocking the hose off our propane tank with his backhoe, we had to find a place to stay temporarily, and quickly. Mind you, this was also during Snomaggedon 2019, the worst possible time for this to happen. Is there a better time for that to happen? Anyways, the woman who runs the Spanish Trails was so nice and understanding. She was able to find as a room for the week at the last minute. The bed was huge and super comfortable, an important thing to have during an uncomfortable time. The mini fridge was hard to keep cold, but I was probably stocking it with more than it usually holds. I kept going across the street to City Market for comfort foods and my ice cream melted in the freezer. The walls are super thin. There wasn't anyone next to us, but there was someone staying in the room next to that one and when I was standing in the bathroom, I could literally hear that person peeing as if they were right there in the same room as I was. I could only imagine what other sounds carry! The shower was amazing, however, the perfect amount of pressure. And there was a lot of storage space. We left our house in a hurry and were so discombobulated, we brought too much of what we really didnt need, but there was enough room to place it, even though it was pointless. We were going through a rough time but Spanish Trails offered just the right amount of...
Read moreI couldn't rate this place any lower. I experienced severe discrimination regarding a health condition. I even called in advance and was treated kindly over the phone the night prior by a young man. I came in today and asked for a room at a weekly rate and the 50-60 year old woman behind the desk said they had one available. Then I asked if I could see it briefly before paying and explained I have lyme disease, and a very sensitive mold allergy, and can usually know in a minute or two if I'll get migraines or if I'll be safe. I did this politely, and the front desk woman's response was - "I have a right to refuse you service here and that's what I'm going to do. I don't want to deal with this. We're a private company and I can refuse you service." When I replied with confusion as a second ago she had a room for me, she told me there's no longer a room available for me and became very short. Reporting this to the Better Business Bureau as this is completely unacceptable. I cannot stay at your hotel because I was bit by a tick? She wouldn't even give me a nightly room and they...
Read moreI checked in on the 14th. When I got to my room it was room 215. The room stench of cigarette smoke. I went back to the front desk until the young lady then I'm not going to get charged an extra fee because of a rune that stench of smoke. She gave me room 214. When I pulled the comforter off the bed it had a big cigarette burn hole in it. The left bathroom sink leaks so bad the bathroom floor was full of water in the morning and I stepped in water. I went to take a hot shower, and there was no hot water. I went to the front desk and talk to a gentleman this time and he stated nobody else has complained. I'll tell maintenance. I told him it ain't doing me no good right now. Spent $86.82 for something that my most important thing is taking a hot shower in the morning. I can rate this as one of my top 3 worst stays in a motel. Oh, one last thing, I am so glad that I have a cell phone. If I did not have a cell phone and had an emergency I could not call 911. None of the rooms have phones in them. Room 214 and room 215...
