One star because my technician was really nice.
I was a walk in. The menu was placed on my seat opened to the more expensive mail services. I had to flip through the pages in order to find a simple mani pedi. I noticed it was done to other customers as well. Very sketchy and shady in my opinion.
I initially wanted regular polish and decided on gel only to find my technician file my nails with a very wide band at high speed. She only prepped the top of my nails. At one point, she nicked my skin and I flinched. The technician decided not to prep the rest of the nails x3.
I asked if she planned to finish and she said I was sensitive. At that point, I asked for regular polish. I know the gel wouldn’t last more than a few days.
She was competent with the polish until she wiped the polish with her glove. When I got home, I saw the gaps.
Manicure- All I wanted was clear polish. I even went as far as spraying my nails with alcohol to clean the surface area of the nails in order for the polish to stick better. I did it purposely because the technician used the towel she dried my feet with to clean my toenails.
A day later, my polish is almost gone on my hands and I realize the cuticle cutting was inadequate.
All this fiasco lasted very little time. I can’t understand why these people are in a such a rush to finish when they either go on their phones or simply hang around without purpose.
My tip was a mediocre as the job she did. All those positive reviews make me wonder where they got them from and no, I...
Read moreIf you decide to go to this place go with Tammy or Tram they both do excellent jobs and know how to speak to a customer. DO NOT go to HANNAH, not only did she do a bad job on the nails she failed to acknowledge her mistakes. I was very calm and apologetic that she had to fix my daughters nails but she still was rude. I’m okay when someone makes a mistake but the fact that she didn’t once acknowledge it and caught an attitude with me just unfortunately makes me not want to go there ever again. It sucks because like I said Tammy and Tram are so great. Please someone look at this photo and tell me these are $65 nails. The acrylic was put on unevenly. The cuticle wasn’t pushed back I understand we don’t cut cuticles but never have I ever seen someone not push them back. She made her nails look like they’ve been grown out for two weeks. The Polish is also clearly lumpy. You should have seen the sides painted so badly. When I tried to point it out to her all I got was an attitude and no owning up to her mistakes at all. Even though I been there a few times and really like Tammy and Tram I could not go back. We are having the lovely Tammy fix them tomorrow but won’t...
Read moreI went to Lux Nails on 3/3 with my stepdaughter. We chose this place due to the overwhelming positive reviews, however, our experience did not live up to expectations.
I'll start with saying, that it is a beautiful salon, and it was nice to not feel like we were being rushed out of there for the next person could get in. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end for us.
When we arrived for the appointments we made online, a woman told us that she "rejected" one of our appointments because "we" did it wrong. Even though I received confirmation for two appointments earlier in the day.
Thankfully, we did both end up getting our nails! My stepdaughter had two nails replaced and I had nothing fixed, but somehow our totals ended up the same, with zero explanation. Also, she didn't inform me that you can't add a tip after they charge your card and didn't give me a chance to add one.
And to top it off, my polish chipped a week after.
Overall, NOT a...
