Keep in mind the one star is just so i can post this review, and warn people. I wouldve left no stars at all. I have never left a bad review for a hotel, but feel like others should know my experience in room 204. First glance, as you walked in the door, was a decent room. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, small tv, small bathroom. No issues. As the night went on, it turned into a nightmare. Everything was dirty. And not just "grimey". DIRTY. First experience was my shower. The best I can say is the water is hot. Even the wrapper on the soap had dirt caked on it. Halfway through my shower, I was surprised the see a long black hair on the washcloth. I myself have red hair, and my husband has very short, light brown hair. Needless to say, washing with some random persons hair grossed me out and, I figured I wasn't getting any cleaner in that shower, so I jumped out. After just shaking it off as "random laundry issues", I moved on to relax after a long day. That it seems was a pipe dream (later pun intended). Getting into the bed was another difficult experience. The bed seemed itchy. I myself am allergic to some detergents so, I only hope I didn't catch anything from it, but I'm not sure. It was bad enough, and late enough, we put on all our thick clothes and slept on top of the sheets and blankets. Moving on to the "late night bathroom adventure". When i clicked my lamp on to go to the bathroom, i put one foot on the floor and felt something. Granted i was next to the wall in the "dark" corner of the room, but youd think the housekeeper would have seen the meth pipe on the floor. At that point, I was in awe. Like seriously? Wth else could go wrong?? ....oh joy. Sitting on the toilet should've been an Olympic sport in balance. The toilet wasn't bolted properly and moved, enough to catch yourself on the wall before you slid in the floor. I'm fuming by that time so, I just went back to sleep as best I could and figured I'd take care of it in a few hours, when management came on. As I quickly packed my bag up, the next morning, I stepped on a capsule medication, left by the glorious housekeeping staff. My husband and I aren't on medication, so I knew it wasn't ours. When I went to go check out, I was told management was off that day and no refund could be made, at that time because we booked with expedia. I wouldn't advise you staying here if you have a family, with children. Or if you have any anxiety issues about cleanliness. I would advise any meth users, that are without smoking apparatuses, or pill heads looking for a random pill to eat, to frequent. The housekeeping at baymont is...
Read moreWe requested a handicapped accessible room and we were not given one. I’m in a wheelchair and they still put us on the second floor AND the bathroom was not accessible for me to use so all in all, I was not happy about this at all. What upset me the most though is when we approached the front desk about this, there was a woman and men there and they both acted like, “Oh well, too bad,” kind of attitude. They literally, physically shrugged their shoulders (both of them) and said, “We have nothing available for the first floor.” and turned back to face each other and continue with whatever conversation they had going on before we approached them.
However, besides that, (which is a big deal to me and very upsetting and disturbing to me), the hotel itself was very, very nice. I was very impressed with the room, it was clean, nice, new furniture, clean bedspreads, linen, and towels, nice working tv with remote, etc…. The outside of the hotel was also very nice and kept up as far as cleanliness and ground sleeping and the surrounding area/neighborhood was nice as well and I felt very safe there. I would bring my children there and know that they would be safe with me.
I give 4 stars instead of 5 because of the handicap ordeal and the rude staff when dealing with why we couldn’t get what we had already requested and reserved prior to coming to the hotel. Other than that, it’s a great...
Read moreThe rooms are spotless and decor is beautiful you feel like you are in a spa . The staff is fantastic with the true southern hospitality that we are all accustomed to . We have a nine year old Chihuahua named Lucas wow I snuck out the door to grab something out of the car he darted out the crack of the door and took off before I knew it and I drove around for a solid hour trying to find him and I pulled into the parking lot to see if he had returned to the room and was waiting outside and Aaron and Doug who ran the hotel had actually found Lucas in the parking lot and realized that he was obviously lost they took him in the office she went online and posted he is being lost and asked if anyone in Easley was missing a brown Chihuahua and in the meantime her husband Doug went to Walmart and bought him a new collar and a nice long leash so that he can take him out and walked him and they took care of my precious Lucas while I was desperately looking for him . And on top of all that they refused to let me pay them back for the collar and a leash .I just can't say enough nice things...
