Sever's Market — Local services in East Alton

Unfortunately, I can't give 5 stars today. I've been battling with this review because these are great people that own this business, but their relative that they have hired, the evil spawn needs to go. Looks like I'll be going to swaggle. Unfortunately, it's not something I really want to do. But until they get rid of that evil spawn I won't step foot in that store again. Basically, she told me not to. She said they don't need our business or my friends.Definitely a millennial entitled person. I've been going in there since I was 6 years old. Never a problem but now I will go elsewhere. So so sad when businesses are ruint by their hires. But don't worry, these are great people, and there's great food there. But that thing they hired has no people skills whatsoever.she needs to exit. This market has some great meat deals at the butcher's counter, but I don't want to talk about the incredible meat bundles. I don't have time to tell you about the convenient location for the people of East Alton. This review isn't even going to get into how hard these nice folks work to keep such a varied stock in such a small location. This review is about the cheesecake dip that they keep with the cold items in the back. That cheesecake dip goes with strawberries, graham crackers, a spoon, cinnamon sticks, your fingers, cherries, grapes, or you can just stick your face directly into the container! It's that tasty! Don't buy the last one though, I was going to come in for that...

Just moved to the area and I’m not used to ordering meat from a butcher not in a bundle or in the display case (they have bundles but I wanted something specific) and they were so nice about cutting exactly how I pictured it being and in less than two minutes. The price was way better than what I thought it would be AND the quality of meat is perfect! I’ll be getting all my meat from them from now on instead of the grocery store. The cashier today was so incredibly nice and explained the whole ordering process to me before I started, making the whole experience the best. Definitely worth visiting and getting your meat...
