Traverse City Bear Company — Local services in East Bay Township

Stopped here every time we visit Michigan Always a pleasant experience until this last time. I bought 2 clothing items for my grandchildren. I was Assured I could exchange if they did not fit. I contacted Traverse City Bear and was informed only on line purchases can be returned or exchanged. All others must be returned to the store. I live in Wisconsin. This was souvenir purchase. No way I could visit the store. Now I am stuck with about $50.00 of unusable items. This should have been made clear at time of purchase when I asked...

Some rather inappropriate shirts ( drugs, curse words, suggestive, over drinking) at children's eye level. Small breakable items placed at a toddler level, yes my 1 year old knocked something down and it broke ( we paid for it). And I feel over priced, I have been to many tourists areas, ( NYC, Smokey Mountains, Biloxi, Orlando, Boston and so on) and the prices seem about 20% higher than what I normaly see. Many other places to get souvenirs in town. Not good...

We were browsing and my young child had to use the restroom. We asked if there was a restroom and the workers said no. This is a store that relies on tourism and therefore should accommodate its customer needs. I am certain there was a restroom in the building. Had they allowed my child to use the restroom we probably would have spent more time and money there, but instead had to leave to find somewhere...
