Had a mixup with an Airbnb for a visiting family member and had to scramble to find her accommodations. Happened upon Brio and what a pleasant and wonderful 3 day stay it was. Small hotel, right on the beach with fresh, clean room, in-room amenities including Microwave, Kurig & mini-fridge. Bed was as comfortable as our high-end memory foam at home. The beach was perfect and manicured every morning and had clean, new beach furniture. There's a firepit on the beach which we enjoyed each night (firewood bundles, kindling & starters available for nominal fee) and prepared a three course sunset dinner at their very clean, park BBQ adjacent to a tropical gazebo complete with a family sized table and beautiful wooden bar for eight, great to serve our meal from. Next door is a water sports rental kiosk for all the necessary lake powersport toys. The best part of all was the the exceptional staff. Misty was a gem at check-in, Roxy took care of our every need and Patricia was unbelievably friendly and helpful...she was busy cleaning all the chairs & tables each night but would stop and visit with us and make us feel welcome and comfortable. The grounds are meticulously landscaped and they even have two beachside suites, the views from the second floor sweet are as good as it gets in all of Grand Traverse. This will definitely be our go-to resort when family visits TC. Highly recommend, will not be disappointed nor feel taken advantaged of with their reasonable rates. You can back right up to your room which is great for...

We came here for a memorial day vacation and the first room we got had a dripping shower head that was causing a puddle on the bathroom floor. They moved us to another room and we came to find out that all of the outlets in the room were loose the the point where you couldn't plug anything into them without them falling out. They tried moving us to another room that also had an issue with the outlets. Finally Rob(one of the owners) moved us to the suite to make up for the first several room's issues he said we would pay the amount we originally booked the room for. When locking the door to the room we pulled it shut and the door knob came off. The day we were leaving there was a family with all their clothes on the sidewalk. Apparently there was an ant infestation in their room. After we were done with the trip and went to check out they tried to charge us the full amount...

Stopped for a night because of the great price, stayed 3 more nights because of the fabulous place it is. Small Inn with clean and functional rooms with fridge, microwave, flat screen with Direct TV for service. Breakfast is great and plentiful with a bit of variety hot and cold. The staff
they’re all so friendly, helpful and ready with a helping hand. On my first night I was bedazzled by my first Aurora Borealis experience
.which happened to be a chance of a lifetime kind of show. I’ve attached pics. The beach is steps from your room with a beautiful deck area above sand and lounge chairs on the sand for plenty of seating. 2 grills and seating for dinner as well. The beach is perfect for a swim
too cold now but I walked up to my knees and it’s all sand bottom and clear watersđŸ«¶ Nothing fancy here but it doesn’t get better than this...

Great Little simple motel on the lake. I was completely satisfied with my weekend stay. Rooms were clean and staff friendly to work with. The rooms are minimal, but updated. Probably not the best place to bring kids or those who need the extra space. The motel does close October 16th for the season. 24-Hour check-in is available, but you will have to visit their sister hotel sleep-inn and suits after midnight 3 miles up route 72 to the north. The breakfast provided is continental: eggs, bagels, toast, cereal, coffee and juices. Price was a little lower the weekend I stayed compared to others in the area, but does fluctuate depending on demand. All n all I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family. The motel does have a beach access plus the use of fire pit and grills on site.

Room was small, but it got the job done. Stayed for a 3 day trip. My only concern is the amount of gnats in the room and no housekeeping. The garbage fills very quickly and the gnats are somewhat annoying. The beach is very close. Only a short walk from your room to the nice sand. The location is about 10 min drive go downtown with lots of shops and activities. This hotel is decent, but I would not stay again. It was not up to my usual standards. Former reviews are a little misleading. Hotel isn’t bad, just basic. Tv also didn’t work properly with remote. & the AC unit only keeps the room cool if it’s 66 and under. Anything over that, it’s moist & very uncomfortable.
