Having been a loyal shopper at JoAnn’s Fabric, I needed to look for another source for my fabric. Visited Hobby Lobby for the first time, their New branch in Eastover, New Jersey. Overall, the variety of products great I was particularly interested in the fabric section. Their selection can be more organized.(For example by theme by brand), As I found it really difficult to look through As they would not in any order except for one wall of fabric, where the sort of organ by color scheme. When ready to have my fiber cut this was an eye-opening. There was not any associates at the cutting table. There’s a bell and me and others have been waiting for more than 10 minutes. Still, no one showed up. We start cutting our own fabric by the yard. When an associate finally showed up after I cut mine, I was expecting him to be scanning the bolt for price and gave me a ticket. Instead, he pulled out a pad and start writing down the price, the discounted price and figure that out with a calculator. This was quite an awakening this day and age. I was such as Hobby lobby too look for More efficient/current way to increase efficiency and productivity. When time to Check out I try to find the end of the line which ends up to be zigzagging around the products. I would suggest Hobby lobby in this Location two adding a checkout line that stick gonna face this hopefully on busy days (It was a Saturday...
Read moreI went in for an interview 10 mins early i spoke to a woman who said i should walk around until it was my time for the interview . I did then came back at 3pm when it was my interview time and no one acknowledged me being there even after I spoke to a woman about it . Then a man who I’m guessing was the manager came out at 3:10 and walked right passed me without a glance doing random things the women who I first spoke to informed him I was there again , in which he walked away and disappeared then came back 3 mins later saying oh where’s the other one very rudely then the women said well the other one is right here and asked me for my name again after I told her the man proceeded to say “ you can walk around the store for now he is still interviewing my 2pm (my interview was at 3pm) I told him I already have I don’t mind waiting here , he then turns to asks the women “did she ?” The women replied yes she did . Then he goes to ask well what time did you get here I said at 2:50pm he looked at his watch and walked away from me .After that I just exited the store and left . It was all an unsettling experience . if i would’ve been late I most likely wouldn’t have gotten the interview at all but it was okay for them to waste my time and be very rude . I really would recommend you guys go to a different location the people here...
Read moreI was excited when the new store opened in E.Hanover - finally, I wouldn’t have to make the long trip to Totowa. Unfortunately, that excitement didn’t last. I primarily shop at HL to stock up on felt sheets, and because the quality can be inconsistent, I always inspect the material in person before purchasing. I visited the E.Hanover location as soon as it opened and stocked up right away. But with each monthly visit since, the shelves have become increasingly bare. It feels like whoever’s responsible for restocking simply doesn't care. On one occasion, I asked a manager about the felt inventory and was told the warehouse didn’t have it. That turned out to be false - I placed an online order that same day, and it was delivered without issue. I returned to the store today, having already checked earlier this month, only to find the same empty shelves. I ended up driving back to Totowa and was relieved to see their felt section fully stocked. It looks like I’ll be skipping the E. Hanover store from now on and heading back to...
