I was disappointed by the heavy reliance on pre-packaged ingredients, with very little fresh material used. The dumplings were just average—below my expectations. Overall, I’d rate the food about two stars. The service was even more concerning; our server never checked in, provided no water refills, and when we requested a high chair and spoons for the kids, they simply pointed us in a direction rather than assisting. On a positive note, the restaurant itself is spacious and not overcrowded. However, we regret choosing this spot for our Friday dinner. Read moreI am holding this restaurant to a high standard. If Din Tai Fung gets a 5 star then this place is relatively a 3 star, which is good enough for Livingston . beef noodle soup: the noodle lacks texture. too soft and soggy. the soup base is blend soup dumplings: some parts of the dough is stuck to the meat filling. maybe the dumplings were not freshly made or the skin is too thick. pan fried dumplings: meat filling is good and ingredients are fresh. again the dough is too thick. seaweed salad: the seasoning is good. the seaweed is on the tougher side. conclusion: i would come back if I am too lazy to drive more than 10 mins to a restaurant and too...
Read moreNot good at all. Xiao Long Bao are the worst I had from any restaurant. Wrap is too thick, barely any soup, pork filling is awful. Filling had no texture and very mushy, my assumption they used some kind of filler. Menu states it has peanuts that must be the filler. Every Xiao Long Bao restaurant I’ve been to from HK, LA, and NY never state it has peanuts. Zha Jiang Noodles barely had any sauce and taste. Portion was quite small. Pan fried pork buns are bad. Very dry, they should be juicy when you bite into them if fresh. Will not...
