Unfortunately we had a not so great experience with this business. My husband brought his ring (originally purchased from Stephen Allen in 2017) in to be resized and when we were contacted to pick the ring up they mentioned they also rhodium plated it and it is an additional cost of $50. We found it odd that they did this without mentioning it or asking us first. I picked up the ring and my husband was unhappy with the new shiny finish since his original ring was a satin finish. Again, we found it strange that they would return the ring to us with a different finish than was given to them. I called and Steve was very accommodating and mentioned they would restore the satin finish free of charge. I brought the ring back and was told by one of the women to “adjust my expectations” because Steve would be doing this by hand. We picked up the ring a week later and it looks okay. You can definitely tell it was done by hand - some spots are rough to the touch. If I had any hope that they could correct the issue further we would go back but it’s not worth another trip at this point.

What we are most displeased with is that there was no explanation or apology provided as to why the ring was rhodium plated or modified beyond the resize without our permission in the first place. The woman I dealt with left me with the impression that we were an inconvenience and that WE were somehow in the wrong.

This seems to be an isolated incident based on the 5 star reviews but it was unfortunate nonetheless.

I wish the option of sending it back to the manufacturer was presented to us originally. It seems that should have been the only solution given the situation. But I was blatantly told this would “NOT be going back to the manufacturer” by one of the sales associates. There have been too many trips spent on this matter and I hate leaving a poor review but this was our experience and the fact that it took a poor review to get to this point...

I recently purchased a Claddagh ring from Stephen Allen Jewelers. I could not have been more pleased with my experience! I went in with high expectations and a budget. From the moment I contacted them they were beyond pleasant, extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, honest, straight forward... literally everything I was hoping for. They listened to me and to what my thoughts were regarding what I wanted the ring to look like. The ring was beautiful but I wanted to customize it by adding a stone to the center. With a little help from Stephen and the staff we finally decided on what shape, size, and stone to set into the ring while also giving me a beautiful selection of exquisite stones to chose from.

Stephen then was able to take my perfect ring I had in mind and make it a reality. I felt that my ring was in such professional and capable hands. How the ring turned out truly far exceeded my expectations, I couldn't have asked for anything better!

The high level of class, pressure free professionalism, wonderful customer service along with knowledge and education of the sales professionals are second to none and will keep me coming back for...

I cannot say enough about Steven Allen Jewelers in terms of outstanding customer service. Steve and Ela were a pleasure to work with when I purchased my diamond studs a few years ago, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. Recently I lost one of the studs and had to file an insurance claim and go through quite an ordeal to get it replaced. Steve could not have been more accommodating in getting an exact replacement. He was extraordinarily easy to work with and knows his craft inside and out. He offers sound advice in a genuine and caring manner.
