Our experience was definitely less than ideal. My friend was told by the owners of the shelter at a house party that they were hiring and that she could stop by for the paperwork. My mom and I went and I asked, ‘I heard you were hiring?’ to the lady at the front desk and she simply said ‘no’, as if it was obvious. My mom asked if they had volunteer opportunities and she said they were only for 16 and up. My mom asked if we could look around and mingle for a cat and she said yes. That was the extent of our conversation at the beginning. The lady didn’t come over and tell us their names or personalities, how long they’ve been there, etc. It was like she didn’t want any cats to be adopted. Most of the cats were extremely skittish and borderline feral besides for this one kitten that we ended up trying to interact for the entirety of our stay. If we were to adopt a cat, literally the only one we would’ve gotten to know would be that kitten. She proceeded to not speak a word to us or acknowledge us until we left. One of the only positive things that I can say is that the place is absolutely decked out with cat toys and furniture, and they seem to be treated well. The hours of this place are also absolutely insane. Open for a few hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays at different times? Are you not trying to get people to adopt the cats? It was also hard to find and no one would’ve noticed if they hadn’t seen it online. In addition, the owners just straight up lied about having positions available. I don’t know what the other shifts’ customer service is like, but we went on a Tuesday and it was horrible. If you’re looking to adopt a cat from here, meet it in person first because all besides one of the cats would’ve definitely been the kind to always hide under the bed and scratch you up. Wouldn’t recommend. I’m guessing they switched up staff because based on the old reviews...
Read moreMarissa was wonderful. She knew each cats personalities and helped us pick the right cat. We adopted Gaby a older kitty that just came in. Bernie helped us today even though they were closed. They responded to phone calls promptly and were wonderful to deal with. I see some negative reviews and our experience was totally different. They have about 9 cats but are very focused on finding them the right homes. Cats are not TVs it takes a bit to find the right one for you and they were wonderful helping us...

Everytime I call there's no one there to pick up the phone or they just don't pick the phone up, I leave a message nobody calls me back ever!! I pity these cats they'll never find forever homes the place is open three days a week and the hours are crazy, like open a couple or few hours at a time, it's a hit-or-miss!!! Terrible...
