On September 19, my friend and I visited PayMore, as we were curious about their inventory, being tech students, living about an hour away. I must say, the staff was extremely kind, and the store itself was well-maintained, which made for a pleasant shopping experience.
However, I did encounter a few issues with the device I purchased and what was shown to me. I bought an iPhone 8 for $75 and was informed that the low price was due to the battery having been replaced and displaying a battery service warning. Initially, I was okay with this, as I assumed the battery was new. Upon getting home and connecting the phone to my computer, using a battery diagnostic program, I discovered that the battery was actually manufactured before the phone itself and seemed to have been taken from another iPhone 8 without the serial numbers being updated. This will result in me needing to spend an additional $30 to replace the battery myself.
Additionally, I expressed my interest in repairing MacBooks, and the staff kindly showed me a 2015 MacBook Air 13-inch that they had in stock. The MacBook had a bent frame, water damage display, and required a battery service according to macOS. The price quoted was $150, which felt a bit high considering that a 2015 MacBook Air in good condition generally goes for around $150-200$. In the condition it was shown to me, I believe it should have been priced closer to what I paid for the iPhone 8, maybe around $80-$90.
I wanted to provide this feedback earlier but have been busy with schoolwork. Overall, I would recommend that future buyers carefully inspect their devices and run their own diagnostics before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI reached out over the phone to get an idea of what they could offer me for my console/accessories/games so I didnt have to waste my time and gas if the offer was going to be below my expectations. I was told it was policy that they donāt give quotes over the phone. Ok, understood. Spent time to clean the merchandise, and made the 30 minute drive with an intention to sell.
I brought a Series X (with box) that was pretty much like new, an Elite series controller, Arctis* headset. I was expecting around $225-$250 for the Xbox alone. IIRC, the offer was $215 for all of it. I was honestly shocked and also annoyed. Haggling is apparently offered but both parties were so far off.
I boxed everything back up. Spent about 30 minutes in store that couldāve been avoided with a quick average quote on the initial phone call. I took everything to GameStop in Exton, and was offered $235 for just the Xbox. I saw the possible $ offer on their website before I drove over there, and it was legit.
The PayMore store was very clean and organized. They pride themselves on that, and compared it to GameStop being very cluttered during our convo. They donāt compare themselves to a pawn shop because they donāt pawn/hold like a pawn shop. The thing is pawn shops are notorious for low ball offers when buying product, and I feel I was given that during my visit. The staff was kind, but I really think they need a change in policy with phone quotes. The trip to their store was an absolute...

I recently visited PayMore to sell a variety of used electronics, including some old phones, a MacBook with a broken keyboard, and a couple of tablets. The experience was not only seamless but also genuinely enjoyable, which is why I felt compelled to write this review.
Cleanliness: The store was incredibly well-kept and organized. I didn't see a speck of dust anywhere, and all of the items on display looked like they were taken care of meticulously. It's evident that they take pride in their storefront.
Customer Service: From the moment I walked in, the staff were exceptionally friendly and respectful. They patiently listened to me describe the conditions of my items, took the time to inspect them thoroughly, and offered a fair assessment.
The Deal: What impressed me most was their integrity. We shook hands on a deal, and imagine my surprise when they actually gave me more money than we had initially agreed upon. While I can't guarantee this happens for everyone, it certainly made me feel valued as a customer.
Overall: The atmosphere, the professionalism, and the ethical approach to business have made me a loyal customer. I can't recommend PayMore enough. If you have used electronics you're looking to sell, this is the place to go. I will definitely...
