I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Ambient as the DJ service for our wedding. Our caterer recommended the owner Gregg personally, and he made the onboarding experience easy as he figured out which of his DJs would best match with us going by our date and our music tastes. He assigned us Chris Smith, aka DJ Spinz, and it was among the best strokes of luck we had in our entire wedding planning process.

Chris was the perfect DJ. Not only was he an attentive and skilled emcee, curating the tone and timing of the party with excellent music choices either directly from our request list or exactly in the genres we were looking for, he went above and beyond the call of duty in dozens of ways big and small. Our ceremony had to be moved indoors at the last minute due to rain, and when he saw my family struggling to build our chuppah next to the dance floor he dropped everything he was doing in regards to his own setup to help us put the unweildy poles together and keep it standing—multiple times. Any time something needed doing, he stepped in quickly and without being asked to ensure it got done. He was friendly and professional, accommodating to requests from all our guests (including the kids, whom he was GREAT with), and impressively detail-oriented. Every name was pronounced correctly, every slightly-goofy desire was delivered with aplomb (we wanted and got a Miami Sound Machine medley!), and the vibes were immaculate. He made everyone at our queer, Jewish, interracial and interfaith wedding feel welcome and joyful. I lost count of the number of times Chris came over to check on us two brides to make sure we had everything we needed. He also laughed at our jokes, which we appreciated ;)

DJ Mike K was the absolute best for our last-minute, 100-person party!

We hired Ambient DJs less than two weeks before a surprise 70th birthday party for my Filipino mom, and they were incredible from start to finish. Greg, the intake coordinator, was so thorough and really took the time to understand the vibe we were going for. The online portal made it easy to add some must-play songs, which was a huge help.

Based on our conversation with Greg, we were assigned DJ Mike K, and it was a perfect match! Mike called us before the event to go over the program, clarify name pronunciations, and even offer some fantastic suggestions that made the evening flow perfectly.

Throughout the party, DJ Mike K was professional, attentive, and read the room beautifully. He checked in with us at just the right moments and was completely unfazed by some of our last-minute program changes. We hired Ambient DJs for my daughter's Sweet 16, and they crushed it! Everything went super smoothly from start to finish. Greg, the owner, was great—super easy to communicate with, very professional, and everything happened exactly as planned.

DJ Iron Mike was awesome! His mixes were on point, and the kids danced all night. The energy was incredible, and he really knew how to keep the party going.

The photo booth was a huge hit! We got to pick our own backdrop, and at the end of the night, they gave us a photo book with all the pictures and messages from guests, which was such a cool keepsake. Plus, we got a digital link to all the photos the next day.

We also upgraded to the 50-inch TV screens, and that was totally worth it. They showed the montage and had a live feed of photos taken throughout the night, which added such a fun, interactive touch.

Most importantly, my daughter was so happy, and that’s all that matters. I’d 100% recommend Ambient DJs to anyone throwing a big event—they know what they’re doing and make the night unforgettable!
