Subzi Mandi — Local services in East Windsor Township

First time been at this store. We were at first pleasantly surprised by a big Indian grocery store. However the experience at the checkout was really disappointing. The lady scanned all items and then we paid the bill.. Generally nobody checks a bill with 50 odd items to make sure it's okay...But we decided to do it this time . Found out she doubled 2 items in quantity. It was then refunded. But the items were such that it would have been hard to double count. Gives me a feeling that this was intentionally done. I sincerely wish I am wrong and customers are not cheated this way. This would almost always go unnoticed if people don't verify their bills minutely. Once you lose faith you would not visit the establishment again, but it is my sincere request to customers, please double check your bill. There is a trust deficit created when such things happen. Leaves...

Went to this store a few times to give it a try. The fruits and vegetables weren't fresh any of the trips. Prices are no different from their competitors down the road. The cashiers were not trained whatsoever on how to handle lots of traffic or even a few customers who buy large bulks of groceries. Customers are rudely rushed out without their groceries bagged properly.

This is the third Indian grocery store now open in East Windsor, and all are within the same mile. The only thing Subzi Mandi is doing better than the competitors is having more Pakistani brands and products. Would only return if I wanted a specific product or brand that the other stores...

This store deserves zero stars. Go here if you want to experience the following: If you want Milk that will go bad in 2 days after you bought it and a week before the sell by date. If you want to always pay more at the register than what the product is priced for. If you want to meet rude cashiers who don't know what customer service is and will act like they are doing you a favor everytime... If you want to see price gouging in action. If you want to buy moldy frozen parathas.

BTW...I have experienced all of the above and will rather starve than go...
