If u even remotely look different to loss prevention or they think you are lingering to long at an item, kohls employees will then follow you around and look in ur basket while acting like they are shopping even trying to look in your personal items like a purse . U can try clothes on but they will accuse you of theft, if something like a empty hanger or any debris or tags are left behind regardless of where they came from. As I was standing in line for 10 min. Because they had called the police and the store closed I walked out and was told to go back in and was escorted by an officer and the loss prevention girl...was never told anything as to why I was detained and was upset and nervous which the officer took as I was concealing or doing drugs...he never once asked if I had any medical situations nor did she . I was being treated as a criminal snd had to prove my innocence to kohls and this cop. I explained my medical situation, kohls and the cop were obviously not interested in snd both went out of room and came back in a min. Later and the cop hammered me with causation while the kohls employee tried to find anything that remotely could be looked at as theft...nothing....because I did not take anything, even after giving permission to search my purse and wallet and my person!!!! Kohls and the cop still did not release me for another 5 min. When I was released I told them both about a previous reveiw on the kohls site snd at first I thought it was someone not happy but I beleive it now because THE SAME SITUATION,happened to me I will never shop at kohls again and will be returning everything I have ever bought there this werk...the cop wanted to search my vehicle upon leaving which I told him no, get a warrant and left.DO NOT SHOP KOHLS UNLESS U,WANT TO GET ARRESTED!!!!!!# They...
Read moreI don’t normally leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at Kohl’s deserves serious attention. I came across a 20% off coupon shared both online and by a store employee, and it clearly stated: “20% off the whole store” — no small print, no terms, no exclusions listed anywhere. Naturally, I assumed this was a storewide discount. So I drove all the way to the store, only to be told at checkout that the coupon didn’t apply to most of the items I picked out. When I asked the employee about the restrictions, they gave me a halfhearted shrug and said something like, “Oh, it just doesn’t work for those.” No reasonable explanation, no apology, and certainly no awareness of how misleading this was. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch tactic, which may even violate consumer protection laws or Department of Weights and Measures regulations. To make matters worse, the in-store experience was just as disappointing. There was a long line of customers waiting to check out, but instead of helping out, one employee stood behind the counter opening a box of books and casually flipping through them like he had all the time in the world. He took about 10 minutes slowly sorting and arranging them while customers stood there waiting. Meanwhile, only one person was actually working the register. This kind of lack of urgency and poor awareness of customer service is shocking, especially when people are already frustrated by misleading promotions. The whole experience was a waste of time, gas, and energy. Kohl’s, if you're going to promote a discount—be transparent. And if you're going to have employees on the floor, train them to actually be helpful. I won’t be returning to this location and will be reporting this to the appropriate consumer...
Read moreThis was the worst experience ever, as a VIP credit card holder with Kohl’s and a frequent customer. I was appalled on the way I was treated, I was escorted out the building on Christmas Eve like I was some criminal for doing last minute shopping for my grandfather 10 minutes before your closing time! And what was worse, it was by your store manager Nancy. Who was eavesdropping in my personal phone conversation and didn’t like my language. So Nancy started yelling and screaming at me to leave the store and that’s when she decided to call LP and have me escorted out the building along with her by his side in front of all the customers waiting in line. It was the most humiliating moment of my life! Now I no longer feel comfortable shopping at the Mira Loma location which happens to be around the corner of my house. I would give 0 stars if I could. Honestly at this point I might even close my credit account with kohls based in the way I was treated. I have a feeling that the district manager Vicky won’t do much. Based on what employees that work there have expressed to me. I go there so frequently that I have build relationships with some employees that I have even invited to personal events of mine! That’s is how loyal I am to this company and to be treated like that was just wrong! But I guess that’s the world we live in today. I hope I am proven wrong and this situation gets escalated to the write person because I would hate for some else go through the humiliation I...
