Prior to 2020, I was heavily involved in CrossFit in both Atlanta and Chicago. After the pandemic, I panic ordered a Peloton stationary bike like many others and became dependent on the bike as my sole source of exercise. Over the last year I have been on a sustained weight loss journey, and I knew I needed to add strength training back in my routine to achieve my personal fitness goals, which were (1) protect muscle mass, (2) maintain bone health, and (3) sustain/improve my mobility. I started 1:1 personal training with Coach Jake at Core Blend in April 2025, and the experience has been outstanding. Jake explained the process and approach to me clearly, building a personalized plan that evolves as I reach new milestones. The entire coaching staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in every memberās success. Iāve gained strength, improved mobility, continued weight loss, and found the accountability I was missing. The equipment is excellent, the environment is supportive, and Core Blend has more than exceeded my expectations. Soon Iāll be āgraduatingā into semi-private classes, which are capped at six people per session. Even in this format the coaches continue to create personalized plans tailored to my individual goals, helping me make continued progress in the gym. I love Core Blend for many reasons, the main reason is I was able to climb the Gros Piton in St. Lucia during my vacation and not feel out of shape while doing it or sore afterwards. Core Blend takes all of the things I hate about CrossFit (and working out in general) out, including completing complex exercises for time, having generic workouts for everyone, and the competitive environment. I get specialized workouts from my coaches. My coaches are able to observe my workouts and provide feedback on my form and weight choices. I feel better physically and mentally. The facility is new, there is a variety of equipment available, and the workouts are challenging. I never get bored of the workouts. My coaches set me up to be successful. I wanted to find a new fitness community so I booked an intro session with Jake. Jake took so much time to understand what my individual goals were. Anytime I start a new gym of course there is some intimidation. Jake was so genuine and welcoming. I got my individual training plan on the app which is very convenient. I travel quite a bit so I loved being able to pull up my workout and stay on plan when away. Ryan was an awesome coach! He led with the perfect balance of encouragement while also pushing me.
