Let me start out with a story. I purchased my wife's bridal set from Zales for 3400.xx. I put the Zales lifetime warranty on the set. As long as she took the ring in for the 6 month inspections they would cover basically anything but lost or theft. She had the ring inspected as per the warranty for almost 6 years without any issues. I just happen to be looking at her ring and noticed one of her diamonds had fallen out. I asked her if she had it inspected recently and she admitted that she missed the previous inspection because she was really busy (we had just had our son). I took the ring to the Zales in EP mall for quotes since we were technically not in warranty anymore. They told me it would take a week for a quote, so I left the set with them and went on my way. Fast forward a week later and they called me stating it would cost $1096.xx before taxes so $1100 to repair the set. I was shocked because the stone that fell out was one of the smaller diamonds on the band. I asked them why was it so expensive to repair and they told me it's because the bridge needed to be repaired. I told them to send it back and they did. I went in to pick up the ring and on my way out the mall I saw Brugen Jewelers and figured I would get a second opinion. I explained my situation to Ayman and told him the price Zales quoted me. His jaw literally dropped. After taking a look at the ring , he got on his calculator and quoted me $268 for new diamond, repair bridge, redip to white gold, re solder the bands, and a Polish to the other stones. "SOLD" I said. He had the ring done 3 days ahead of his quote of 5 days and the ring looks just beautiful. My wife is very very happy. I will be taking the ring back to Brugens in the future for inspections / work. I honestly highly recommend you check them out. They are family owned and local. Support our...
Read moreI brought my watch to Brugen Jewelers for a new battery after seeing on their website that they had experience with the particular brand. It's not a watch that can be worked on at any mall kiosk, nor would I take it somewhere like that. A good watch deserves expert attention, even for such mundane maintenance as a battery replacement. When changing the battery, Amy noticed that the gasket seal was damaged and rightly assumed that I would want it replaced - a 100-meter watch isn't even a 1-meter watch if the seal is bad. Attention to detail and expert repair like this costs a bit more, but it's worth it. Great service is going to be hard to find for a while as we dig out from the pandemic, but I was happy to experience it at...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Brugen's. Their work and professionalism was as good as anyone could ask for. I was working with Ayman on a project using gold that required special actions and skills and I have to say that he met every one of my requests. He was honest, more that fair and worked with me until I was happy with the results. He took the time to call me with project updates and when to come in for a final review which I appreciated and it's not a customer service trait that you find much any more. It was impressive, appreciated and made my business feel important to them. I highly recommend Brugen's to anyone looking for basic jewelry needs or specialty work. ...
