Brought a bin of barely worn American Eagle 10-15 jeans/shirts in today. They took only 2 and said that they didn't take the rest due to older styles. I've bought all of these clothes in the past year and it's all barely worn. That's not what gets me. They said it'll take an hour and half and I'll get a text when it's ready. 3 hours later I had come back and never got a text. I also reminded them to give me the points on my Fivestar account and of course they didn’t. Anyways, the first annoyance was right when I came in they all just looked at me and didn't say a word, including the manager looking guy who decided to continue a phone call with an employee about shifts rather than help me right away. I stood around for a few minutes waiting for him to finish his call then he ungratefully told me to fill out the form for selling, not very friendly and expecting me to know what to do. When I was waiting I decided to check out the 50% off clearance which consisted of very minimal items. VERY minimal to the point where I was confused... the deal apparently just started today! Of course, couldn't find anything of the 30 women's items and 10 men's items on clearance. We found a few items to try on and my girlfriend went to a girl working who was hanging some stuff up near the fitting rooms to ask, she huffed when asked nicely to get a fitting room, didn't even look at her, just opened the door then walked away without saying a single word. 10 minutes later I couldn't find anyone either to get me a fitting room so I asked the guy who also didn't say a word, rudely and overly looked at my three items I wanted to try on. I'm a very friendly and understanding customer and this was literally the worst customer service I could possibly get! I refuse to come back here to sell or shop...
Read moreI am never one to complain or even leave reviews, but this was such a frustrating situation, and upsetting. I have been bringing my items to Plato’s closet for years. And in the last two years I have been so disappointed. 3 months ago I brought in almost 6 bins of all name brand clothing, all in very nice condition, and they took about 80% of it. While I was waiting for my items to be done, I walked around the store and overheard employees talking about how they did not have enough cash to give me, and an employee responded with questioning how much she needed, and then replied. When I went to finally pick up my items, I do not think they knew I was in the store waiting. I went to collect my cash, and it was almost 170$ less than what I had heard them saying before. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful they took what they did, but it was extremely unprofessional and it made me not want to return. Fast forward - I brought in 4 bins two weeks ago, again with all name brand clothing, designer purses, 25% of the clothes still had tags on, and all pretty much bought within the last year and a half. My first issue, was that they could not offer me money until 5 days later because they did not have cash. They had me return the next day to pick it up, and it still was not ready so it was frustrating, as I work full time I do not have time to go back and fourth. My second issue, I had two bins that went completely untouched. Everything in those bins was barely moved from when I had placed them. I purposefully put my “more expensive” items on the bottoms of my bins for this exact reason, all left untouched. Super disappointing and that was my final straw for ever returning to the Eden Prairie location, and Plato’s...
Read moreI brought a bunch of nice name brand cloths folded neatly in a clear clean tub on 10/28/24. Cloths with tags still on them that haven’t left my closet since I bought them. Now I’m clean person but the manager refused to buy them which I didn’t find out until hours later when I called to get them picked up. The young ladies at the counter mentioned their manager is picky, as she should be. But the ladies said my cloths had an odor which I don’t smoke and like I said they were clean and folded neatly so I was confused and offended but I didn’t argue. When I took back the cloths I opened the tub to find out they didn’t even look through it. Didn’t even notice or take a look at what I had to offer inside. I tried to smell the cloths to see if maybe I missed something but couldn’t figure it out. I even asked a second opinion from someone else and they couldn’t either. When I came into the store I noticed the lady was taking people with garbage bags of stuff so I’m confused on why my tub of clean cloths were not enough. I felt like the manager didn’t want to take the time to look through my stuff so she made an excuse so she could go home for the day. Really wasn’t a good experience and I feel like Plato missed out on some...
