The very first time we went to this restaurant it was really amazing! This was in Ramadan 1 1/2 years ago. The guy let us stay late to eat (because the iftar was late that year) while they cleaned up to close. He was so nice and helpful. He also let my husband pray magrib. We tried their fries, hamburger, chicken kabob plate and lamb kabob plate. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the fries were crisp on the outside and tender inside. Perfect! We hadn't been back to the restaurant as it's not close to us. We were in the area and decided to try it again. I was very excited, because I had such a good experience last time. This time, there was an older woman and another lady in the kitchen. The older lady took our order and wasn't friendly at all. We ordered the gyro wrap with fries and chicken kabob with rice with a side of falafel. We both were very disappointed in the food and service this time. It was nothing like last time. The fries were way too overly seasoned and salty. The gyro wouldve been good, except it was drowning in a tzaziki (cucumber sauce). There were hardly any vegetables in the gyro. I expected the same ones like the description, but it was lacking lettuce and tomato. Maybe they were out. The chicken skewers were good and had a nice flame-cooked flavor, but didnt taste seasoned. The rice wasn't good with the shredded cucumber through it. The taste was strange for me and the seasoning wasnt very good. The falafel were horrible! I have never had disgusting falafel before. I was shocked! I only had a bite and couldn't eat the rest of it. It tasted like dill and I don't know what else but not like falafel. It also wasn't cooked enough inside. Even my husband hated it. He didnt want to eat it either. For spending $30, we should've had at least a decent experience, but sad to say, we won't be going back. The quality of service, combined with the food, was...
Read moreI decided to try this place out as I seen it recently opened and I was in the area, firstly the restaurant is a nice eye appealing spot. When I first came in, I came in with my 3 year old daughter and my cousin and nobody spoke to us. Which I didn’t make a big deal out of but nobody was inside of the place, against my better judgment…I decided to still order. When I ordered the lady never said anything I had to first ask her to turn back on the screens as they went into “sleep mode” and then I had to initiate the conversation to begin my order. I ordered a BYO bowl, I paid and gave a $2 tip. When making my food, I asked for the hummus on the side and I also told her Taziki sauce on the side. When she brought our food there was 2 sauces on the side as requested but also sauce on top of the food, I went back up to the register and the lady who took my order walked passed me and didn’t say anything and there was a lady by the prep table who was bringing stuff to the back that never said one word to me. Once the lady who took my order came back, I explained to her that my daughter does not like the sauce and that’s why I requested it to be on the side she told me “did you really want me to remake it or can I just give you new meat” with that comment I already knew she had a issue and if I asked her to remake it, it’d be a problem so I just told her that it was fine. Upon sitting down at the table and eating, the food was not good. I had to force myself to eat it because again I paid $24 for it, my daughter didn’t eat anything as she said everything was nasty. I ate as much as I could and threw everything away, the reason the food was nasty is because the gyro was covered in grease which made the food just taste like nasty oil. This was my first and last time ever coming here, I would have given it another try if the customer...
Read moreSince we received no greeting, I had to ask how or where to order since the menu boards were on the right but the cash register is on the far left. The set up is horrible when you walk in cause its confusing as to where you order. The person/woman behind the counter just stared at us from the time we walked in, no greeting, very abrupt/rude when I asked questions about two menu options never having been there before. She was not happy with me for asking questions. They call Taziki, cucumber sauce, whatever. The sign at the register said please please please pay in cash... I paid $20.60 with my card for a $18.99 Volcano Bowl which was not on the menu, but on the marker board as recommended. So if you order it, just know that it is $2 more than all the other bowls, but you won't know unless you ask. My $20.60 did not come with a drink, had to ask for a cup, which she begrudgingly gave us. Twas decent food, but very saucy with what I presume is their cucumber sauce all over the top, but very little meat in it, after digging through the other filler items. The rice they use is a cheap yellow, almost Rice-a-Roni style rice out of a box. It was freezing inside and we watched people move tables twice to avoid the AC blast which had it feeling like we were in a refrigerated truck. There's better options at better prices, and far better quality and service for this style of Mediterranean food (Spitz, MEDBOX, Ariana Kabob & Gyro Bistro, Olive & Lamb). Big disappointment for a place that supposedly has a 5...
