I went here to get bras after surgery from breast cancer. I've been able to get bras through three other organizations in the past. I went here because the offer professional fitting. Selection is wide. Only some bras were priced, mostly those on sale. I've never had to pay put of pocket for any bras, they were 100% covered. The store informed me that my insurance was accepted here. What I did not know, is that regardless of what bra I purchased, they bill insurance whatever they feel like, knowing they will only get $43 per bra. They have you sign an agreement to pay for any amount not covered by insurance. Well I've had my bras covered at 100% 3 other times so why would this be different? Its different because of the specific contract they have, holding the customer responsible for the "upgrade." Which by the way would have been very easy for them to tell me that they would be charging me over $200 for the 9 bras I thought would be free to me because my deductible was met, but they don't. In fact I never got a receipt for the 1st charge. My copy of the agreement is barely legible, there are no totals, I asked many questions trying to understand why they needed me to sign this agreement. What they failed to do was be honest and up front explaining that this $78 sports bra that does not have a price tag is actually going to cost me $35. I explained that I've always had the bras covered so I figured they would be here as well. They knew they would not be covered at full price. They knew exactly what they were going to charge me out of pocket and exactly what they would get from insurance. Had they been upfront and told me exactly what each bra was going to cost me, I would have only ordered the ones that they charge $43 for. Which was 2 of the 9 bras. I would then take my business back to the beast cancer organizations that don't try to exploit and mislead. I am not done with my complaint. Oh and on top of it all, I asked the lady what happens of the bras that were ordered and going to be shipped to me don't fit? I was told I could not return them but then I saw that they can be returned within 14 days of purchase with tags still on. On the itemized slip that came in the mail with a charge card receipt for $135. Again, no prices listed for said bras. Oh and too boot, when I added up the prices that were handwritten on the agreement it appears that the store charged the insurance company way more than what was handwritten. I'm not a clims processor, but I am willing to bet that whatever cost is not reimbursemed by insurance becomes a tax write off for the store. If this is true, then it behooves them to charge even more and hey, if we don't have price tags on our store items than there is no ser price, it's what ever we feel like writing on the purchase agreement or charging the insurance company. Just an FYI, my insurance is filing a complaint and I hope they cancel there contract with you. Maybe for the next women who comes into your store looking for some compassion after already having emotional, financial and physical stress from fighting breast cancer, maybe you can just show her the bras that will actually be paid for in full by their insurance! That would be the ethical...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the most incredible time working with Nicole. She answered EVERY question (and I mean a lot of questions) with the utmost care and respect. She listened with compassion and understanding and did her best to find me something that would fit my specific needs. She made me feel so comfortable showing her the options I thought were working or where we could improve and I ended up leaving with a bra that day (and ordered a few more in the correct sizes). Iāve never left a store more satisfied. I was tearing up in my car from excitement knowing I can finally regain a bit of control over my appearance. This helped me get so much of my confidence back after going through some of the scariest and most traumatic medical experiences I could imagine. Nicole did a heck of a lot more than sell me a few bras, she calmed my anxieties and gave me a boost in my worth as a woman. 1000% recommend booking an appointment!! The selection is huge compared to what I was expecting, they take insurance for specific medical requirements, the store is filled with cute and quality items, and they actually take the time to find the right fit for your body at your respected privacy level, I could go on forever. If youāre scared or hesitant just do yourself a favor and make the callātalk to Nicole and youāll feel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a wonderful experience! The ladies were friendly, kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. As a large woman, finding a bra that fits correctly and comfortably is challenging enough. Trying to deal with all that comes with a diagnosis of cancer and facing surgery is enough, but add on trying to find a post-surgical bra to meet the criteria set by the surgical team that actually fits was overwhelming. Buying online does not always deliver as promised and/or on time. Being personally fitted by professionals made the process very smooth and easy.
I do not wish breast cancer on anyone; however, if you find yourself in that situation, I recommend Underneath It All as the place to go for your post-surgery needs. They...
