Their gyro sandwich is the best food you can get in Eden Prairie. Don't bother going to any of the expensive restaurants. Or any of the dumb chain restaurants. Eden Prairie is pure corporate dollar bill. This place stands out, it's like the only mom and pop style place around here. Don't go to Lion's Tap I don't understand why people like the burgers they taste like they're still frozen. But Greek Grill and Fry is hot, fresh and made-to-order. If however you do want to go to Lions tap, I can tell you that there Lion's Tap brand beer is very good. But the food is no bueno. If you're hungry go to Greek Grill and Fry. By the way I can't believe that a guy in the previous reviews would give this place a one-star. He claims that he came in at 10 o'clock and was told the kitchen was closed. Yet the store remains open until 10:30. He claims it's because he's a black man. I don't care what color skin you are this is normal. You can anticipate and expect and trust that a business like this will close the kitchen sometimes an hour to a half hour before they close. There's no rational reason for the black man's review other than ignorant spite. I've come in hoping the kitchen was still open before and was told it was closed. And none of my special, entitled, White Privilege got me a gyro. When the kitchen is closed ... it's closed. Have some respect for a quality...
Read moregot a gryo platter with lamb and fries, price in store is $14 which is $2 more than their website that says $12, plus an undisclosed $0.50 charge for using credit card so be ready to spend 10-15% more than whatever is priced on their website.
They also must have ran out of pita bread or something because rather than one big pita bread with meat inside, there were like five small pieces of pita bread that was not enough for the large amount of meat provided unless I really stuffed them full.
Giving 4 stars cos employees were friendly, food was hot and served fresh with good taste,
there's room for improvement with what I mentioned - make sure to give enough pita bread and update your menu prices to be the same in store as they are online, and put up a sign that mentions your credit card fee - I understand credit cards cost more in fees, but other gas stations around do not charge credit card fees and your customers would be more likely to use cash if they know there's a fee for...
Read moreI've been going here for almost if not a decade, I've loved the food. But what I don't love is being forced to tip, that being mandatory and not optional is akin to stealing, especially because it's a new practice you have not advertised ANYHERE in the store! You charged me for extra bread, I got no extra bread, you overcharged on tax and a "service fee" which I previously mentioned. This is beyond scummy and rancid. attached is a picture of the receipt. I would highly recommend you find somewhere to go that has honest business practices
Edit: I have no issue with the cooks, they do good work, what isn't good work is charging 50 dollars for a gyro( that was ordered with extra fries and received none), a deconstructed gyro( one that was ordered without onions and had what looked like extra onions), and an order of cheese curds. That's not "price adjustment for modern times" that's price gouging,I will be encouraging others to just go to Matt's...
