Been here an about a year, pretty trash but cheap so whatever. This is my first apartment and first time going thru the process btw, but I asked my sis who is a leasing agent elsewhere for advice the entire time. She thinks this place is so awful that it’s laughable. I agree tbh. When I was trying to secure an apartment and pay the deposit so I don’t lose it to someone else (I expressed urgency multiple times during the intake), the agent took so long to do the intake process (nearly 2 months) and I lost my first 3 choices of apartment during that time. Ending up going into a random one and they wouldn’t allow me to see it before signing lease, honestly the entire intake process was a joke. She quit apparently, haven’t seen her since. Even she dragged the place during the tour lol. The condition of this apartment honestly isn’t even worth mentioning. I asked if the turn over was rushed due to how bad it was…I’m not joking the agent looked me in my face and said, “No. It’s been vacant for more than a month.” That’s when I knew I made a mistake signing that lease. They would never answer phones, or were never in the office. Maintenance sucked for a long time- my heat was stuck on manual and wouldn’t turn off, it was hitting nearly 100 degrees inside. They made excuses and ignored it until early summertime when I barged in and complained and the regional manager just happened to be there that day. And I literally had to take a full day off work just to do that- a maybe 15 min convo. Nonsense. I have work orders that have been marked complete and they still aren’t done yet. They put my money orders under someone else for rent April 2023 and kept adding late fees and sent an eviction warning notice thingy eventually, it took months to resolve because no one would return my calls or emails. Again took me taking off from work and just barging in to solve it. Another 10 min convo that could’ve been solved if they answered their phone or read their emails. I work 2 jobs 7 days a week and am a student btw, so taking off is an huge inconvenience. Someone stole money orders from the drop box at the office in August 2023(there’s a camera but it “only monitors not records”) had to go to court over it and still dealing with the effects of it. Apparently this happens often enough that their law team is aware of it. The police caught the guy but I’m not sure how to get my money back, you’d think they offer suggestions instead of just wanting all the late fees and back pay that I don’t technically owe them. I’d like my money back… Moving on, they have new management now (maybe from November ish of 2023 idk) and so far it’s better- they are the ones that are helping work thru this stolen rent nonsense, still not satisfied honestly but I have anxiety and if we didn’t settle in the mediation it would’ve been a trial and I was already at my limit just going to the courthouse. Oh and there’s a maintenance dude who has been coming lately who is really helpful, really chill dude. These 2 things are why I gave it stars. Talk to me 4 months ago I would’ve given it -3 if I could. Btw it’s 100% true that they would ignore residents but add fees or something over the littlest thing even if they were at fault. I literally watched the old property manager, one of them because there were like 3 in not even 9 months, look at the phone going off and make a comment along the lines of, “always bothering and complaining about something” and ignore it. Idk where all these positive reviews came from in the last month or so and I’m not entirely convinced they aren’t bots or paid promo because not long ago this place had a 2.1 rating on google and ION had 1.7. Either way I’m stuck here till January 2025 so we’ll see if this new management is actually better. All and all it’s whatever because it’s fairly cheap but you truly get what you pay for- barely mediocre standards. I don’t want to renew again so I’m already looking elsewhere but if it’s the cheapest option by that time I might stay. Beggars can’t be choosy...
Read moreRude experience. their “third party” scheduling lied telling me a bunch of requirements or lack their of that wasn’t true such as they accept a certain credit score, no need for 3x the rent, etc. Even encouraged me to bring my dog to the office so they can meet him (thank goodness I didn’t) just to get me in the door. I drove over an hr away to be told make 3x the amount of rent when I confirmed twice that wasn’t necessary before arrival. Instead I was met with a rude office manager I’m assuming, some woman who lacked professionalism trying to yell across the office to me denying my rental assistance which can’t be done in the state of nj- not the program I had and it’s a Google search away. Also tried to tell me there’s no contracts with the leasing & the program I’m in which isn’t true, and I came with all proof but they didn’t care to see it. They also complained about having to take vouchers/rental assistance so I knew it was going to be an issue when being there. They spoke to me and made me feel as if I’m not good enough to live there because I had it. No remorse for the shady appointment setters, nothing. I used to manage a leasing office years ago and this is not how it’s done. I completely wasted my time early in the morning . I just walked out. Very uncomfortable and...
Read moreI went here to view an apartment to possibly rent and everything was going well enough at first. I will say when I pulled into the complex, I noticed immediately how dingy and run down and unkept everything looked. Bad vibes right off the bat but still I figured I would look at an available unit. I was brought inside for a tour, looked at a one bedroom first. It looked decent enough, except for a big stain on the living room floor (they don’t change out the carpet from previous tenants???) Then I was brought into a two bedroom… stepped into the second bedroom and noticed a bug on the wall in the closet… I stepped closer to it and right away I saw that it was a German cockroach. A ROACH!!! OUT IN THE OPEN, CHILLING ON THE WALL AS WE STOOD IN THE ROOM AND TALKED. It didn’t run and hide, which told me immediately the place must be infested with the things. I got the hell out of there so fast. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! They charge $75 for an application fee PER APPLICANT and they have ROACHES. No way no way no way. Honestly, bless that little roach for being out in the open and saving me the stress of dealing with an infestation. With this and all the other reviews here…..DO NOT RENT FROM THIS...
